If we get sent home early from work today I'm in. There's no way I can update BJ's resume with all of his life experience since the last attempt AND get the troops back together for staffing needs all during my lunch break.

Ahhh forget it. I quit. I'm all in BJ let's roll!

I need to look back and find out who we named the Official Athletic Supporter and make sure we have a good grasp on everything.

What will be interesting to see is if we could steal a head coach from the OVC, ASun, or SoCon instead of going the assistant route.

I wouldn't begin to limit our options to those two categories. I am really anxious to hear who the consulting firm adds to their list. As an outside entity, they can gauge interest in possible candidates directly in a way that an AD cannot. Hopefully they are exploring options beyond the obvious.

We have more possible candidates than Duke or UNC would have, if Coach K or Roy Williams were to leave.

Of course we do. NONE of the coaches named here would be considered a legitimate candidate for those jobs. When they come open only a select few names are even considered.

I thought BJ was a FOOTBALL coach?! I've heard of 2-sport athletes; maybe ole BJ is a 2-sport COACH.

I said in an interview once that I can coach just about anything. The only exceptions to that being wrestling, field hockey and lacrosse

Gosh, I forgot, I was Head Golf Coach for 2 matches one year. Lost both.

Jeff obviously came to this decision some time ago. I expect it will be a pretty quick hire, no more than two weeks and probably much quicker. I just hope we get the right guy. LU BB has been in the crapper for waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long.

Interesting to see Bobby Lutz on that list. One of the greatest 'what ifs' in GW hoops history is what if Lutz had stayed here more than a month back in 1995, and Rick Scruggs never set his sorry feet on our campus.

NCCU obviously thinks highly of Moton. They signed him to an 8 year extension worth $2,000,000 last year. Pretty impressive for a school with somewhat limited resources.

Coach, I would like to introduce you to the definite article "the" and the indefinite article "a". They are short and easy to type, and make you sound a lot smarter.

There's a coach out there with DII and DI head coaching experience as well as high level DI assistant coaching experience. He's a tad bit older, but one of his former players has joined the coaching ranks and has been proven to be a very good recruiter. If you could get the older coach as the head guy and he brought in the younger guy as one of his top assistants, wouldn't it sound like a great idea?

It won't happen, but it wouldn't be the worst idea ever.

I could see the younger coach being given the head coach title with the older coach as his mentor/associate head coach. Lynchburg is a much warmer location for both of them. But I still don't see it happening.
