Well that was brutal. Jesse Sanders is going to be the key to our success the next 3 years. Without him, we're just not very good.

Tough game and loss. I was kinda hoping you would win.

No Jesse hurt you guys, but at least the best player in the conference led the way with 10 pts (0-fer in the second half) 1 assist, 2 turnovers, 7 rebounds.

Good game, LU. Scared the hell out of me in the first half.

You had a good game plan and good heart, but I think our experience made the difference. That's an edge you'll have next season.

See you then.

You know, now's really not the time to be trying to make that point.

Yes it is. Let's not be sore losers.

When VMI's offense was out of whack, they had senior leadership to put them back in their game.

It's very clear now just how bad we need Jesse Sanders. We can put that MVP stuff to bed...while Seth may be the best player on our team, Jesse is the glue that holds it all together.

I'm disappointed with the loss, but am happy with our season, overall. We, as fans, have a lot to look forward to.

Good question. My guess is it means that fear can "take the fire" out of you.

Doesn't matter, though--it's an idiom.

They don't have to make sense.

Actually, the VMI posters have shown a lot of class on this board.

Good luck the rest of the way. I'm sure that VMI can handle either Radford or UNCA.

I agree completely with the Sanders comment- you guys need a good back up point guard if Seth isn't going to change gears & fill that role for your team- it'll be even harder without Anthony Smith next year- Curry's gonna get guarded like that continuously if other guys can't step up & hit shots to keep teams honest..

We'll miss Anthony, but we'll be stronger and deeper next year.
