Whooda thought before the year started, looking at a schedule that included ACC, Big East and Conference USA teams on the road, that after 16 games, our only loss by over 5 points would be against Ashville? Other than that anamoly the other 5 losses were all on the road, and by a combined total of 12 points. Losing close games is perhaps more emotionally taxing and painful than being blown out, but over the long haul, being that close gives a team something to build on.

These kids know how to compete on the road. Now they need to learn how to win.

I thought our OT wins and close losses would be paying dividends later in the season. I guess you could say that's not the reason we're not closing out.

Man, I could have sworn St. Louis U was in conference USA. They should be. The A-10 makes absolutely no sense geographically for them.

Your sensorship will prove itself and your inconsistency no where to hide.

I fully expect that we will win the next two at Home. Yes I will. And Winthrop will still be a bad team.

i will believe it when i see it...

the problem people have with you, and others with the same views as you, is that you only show up during losses, never during wins...never to say anything good...just doom and gloom...

I like our last coach, more then most on here...but that is not the point now...mckay is the coach...and has had this team playing better this season with 7 freshmen then I honestly expected...

The problem is the overall inconsistent evaluation of performance. Long before I ever posted I would read in disbelief the comments of some on here towards our last coach. Now it is always an excuse. We have seven freshmen.

Last year we had a great post, pt, swing and 2-guard. Where is BJ Jenkins? All I have said is that Winthrop is a bad team and we needed a road win at Presby. I thought we would win.

We have some really good performances in non conference and hopefully will the rest of the way.
I just respect what others did in the past as well.

So do you think that Winthrop is a bad team?

I don't think they're as good as they have been in the past. I think we have a better team but they run a very good system and played very well against us the other night. They're very young just like us and when they put it all together like they did on Saturday they can beat anyone in this league.
