Did anyone that knows the kid ask him why he left? Just wondering.

I've posted on here a direct quote from him.

I got love for all my teammates and coaches and the fans I have I really appreciate their support. It is definitely about the freshman that makes me laugh. I wish them all the best and I hope Liberty can win the title."
Happy?

The freshman make him laugh? That's a good one  The suggestion here, I guess, is that our incoming freshmen, including Curry, are jokes. I wonder how many would be willing to put some serious money on that as a real outcome?

I've seen plenty of players come and go and I've yet to hear a player announce that he lost his starting job on the way out the door. And why should he? But these kinds of things do happen. And every player who signs is famliar with this reality. You don't get this far in the game without a thick skin. BJ will be fine.

With Sanders, Curry, Ohman, Anderson, and Stephene securely in the fold, it's highly doubtful that RMK will be losing much sleep anytime soon. This team has a great deal of quality depth in the backcourt, and a number of options at all four gaurd positions.

BJ's a great guy and I believe he'll add quality depth to Murray's backcourt. I agree with him that it's a good time for him to move on. It's win-win: good for BJ, good for Murray, and good for LU.

We have a couple of new guys in our backcourt that are too good to sit, and a couple of returners who are better fits for what RMK's trying to do with the perimeter game.

Again, good luck to BJ. He's left us with some great memories. The two East Carolina games and last year's Niagria game are the three that particularly stand out for me. He'll be missed.

I don't think that is at all what B.J. was implying, 'Dox. I think he was laughing at the idea that he was being chased off by fear of incoming freshmen. And on that note I agree wholeheartedly.

And once again, I wish B.J. nothing but the best for the Racers in the OVC. I could insert Popeye Jones reference here but my tally is geting out of hand already in the 101 forum so I will resist.

I get that. I was just taking some liberties for fun, and throwing a little challenge out there for the doubters. Curiously, no takers

As mentioned before, this is an across the board win: BJ will benefit, Murray State will benefit, and LU is in a great postion to benefit as well. So, everybody wins, and all parties involved have an opportunity to better themselves.

What challenge? Seriously, dude, I can't understand anything you say. It's like you're posting while suffering from some sort of aphasia.

I don't know any 2 year player that would be afraid of losing his job to a freshman even if it was Eric Gordon Jr coming in. I think BJ is competitive enough that he would think it was his job no matter what. I know I felt that way my Jr and Sr years when they brought in a ton of guards. I wasn't worried a bit. Larry Jackson and Marcus White weren't worried when we brought in guards. I don't think BJ was worried but I haven't talked with him in weeks. I do think that he will help Murray State though and I do think Liberty will be more than fine with the guards we have coming in.....I played against Popeye Jones at Murray St back in the day btw.

I think it goes without saying that a player of this caliber who does well on this level will not be afraid of a little competition. Competiton, however, depends on opportunity.

Personally, I believe that BJ made a great choice and found a better opportunity for himself. On the other hand, I'm confident that McKay knows what he's doing and is committed to what needs to happen in order to be successful.

Perhaps, we'll cross paths with BJ again, bracket-buster style  It would be fun!

BJ must really be unhappy at LU, when you are given the type of PT he was given and he was somewhat of a significant contributor why would you transfer?

GOAT, great to see a legend has returned to flamefans! I think we had this same exact quote a few years ago when David Dees transferred. I just don't get it. But I am not knocking them. They have to do what they think is best for them.

I feel much better about where BJ's headed and where LU's headed, than what the Dees situation turned out to be. No one really benefitted from that situation.

SCAR The only Popey you are now familiar is the chicken place!!!

So is BJ the only transfer? What are we supposed to do without a complete roster over haul? We have become so accustomed for that to fuel the boards during the summer. This sux we need more transfers!
