It's nice to have expectations that aren't based on past performance or real evidence of any kind. It makes me feel special.
This goes exactly from this past season......I guess riding the short bus makes you special

Actually, it went through Asheville.

You think Campbell is getting his scholly taken away, dickens? That's bold. It seems more likely that he would keep his and Ohman would remain a walk on.

I'm pretty sure he's right because I had to ride on an uncomfortable Thomas Road bus for 9 hours to get there and back.

Not complaining, just pointing out that LUconn's right.

Depends on where you play them. Just ask Army.

ToTheLeft wrote:So then, who are the favorites for the awards next season? Since we don't have anything else to talk about...

Here are my thoughts for early Preseason Teams and POTY

1st Team
---

Jamarco Warren
Chavis Holmes
Eugene Harris
Anthony Smith
Cruz Daniels

2nd Team
---
BJ Jenkins
Corbin
Manta Ray Robinson
Anthony Breeze
Omar Carter

All Frosh
---
Seth (LU)
Middleton (WU)
S. Short (HPU)
J. Henley (GW)
Carter (LU)

POTY- Chavis Holmes
DPOTY- Manta Ray
COTY- Ritchie

Just what I think. Haha. :P Wayyyy too early to know anything for fun, but just for fun.

Are you a High Point Fan??? Cruz and Eugene on first team, wow!

You better pay the Radford players more respect, especially Lynch-Flohr, and also Travis Holmes is pretty good, he was avg 25 per game when Reggie Williams was hurt. Plus you left off Joesph Harris from Coastal

Just so you guys know, some of the best players to play in the Big South were signed late in the spring...meaning some of these rankings maybe premature...for example AZ Reid and Reggie Williams were signed late.

Next year:
1) WU
2) LU
3) RU
4) CSU
5) GW
6) UNCA
7) VMI
8 ) HPU
9) CCU

The top half is easier to predict than the bottom half. With UNCA, HPU, and CCU relying so much on inexperienced and/or not very good players, it's hard to tell how they'll wind up. If VMI can recover from losing all that Williams provided, they could make their way up the list.

I really like Cruz Daniels, and I think Eugene is going to be one of the stars of this League next year...

Anyways.... order of finish.

1)LU (Anthony Smith picks up the slack, and BJ proves why the big schools like GTown wanted him out of high school)
2)WU (Always a contender, and a lot of the younger players got some solid PT this past year)
3)HPU (I have a lot of faith in Cruz and Harris... maybe I'm nuts.)
4)CSU (Omar and Jamarco, need I say more?)
5)GW (Solid team that might surprise us, I admit I need to learn more about them...)
6)RU (I think we might be over rating them a little going into next year, cmon, it's still Radford)
7)VMI (VMI will do what VMI does, win some they shouldn't, and lose some they shouldn't)
8)CCU (Anthony Breeze can only do so much)
9)UNCA (No KG, No Smithson, no KJ... Not putting much stock in them)

Hard to make any kind of prediction with so many unknowns out there. I would say I'm confident WU will finish in the top 3 and beyond that I wouldn't bet on anything. If you made me pick I would say:

WU
RU
CCU
LU
CSU
UNCA
HP
VMI

I thought CCU finished pretty good considering all they lost this year to injury. They'll have Harris and Breeze working on the boards which should be an advantage over everyone but WU and RU. Sisinni showed improvement this year too. I forgot about G-dub but I would think they would fall in the middle somewhere, they lose their star big guy but return some good role players.

Like I said, it's just an educated guess.

And where's GDub?

Nah that's cool, just wondering. I don't see much of anything going on with Coastal next year... definitely not a top notch team. But, it's early.

Boiling Springs. If you're coming from Rock Hill, go to Charlotte and turn left for about an hour.
