I root for open concession stands period. The game I was at earlier this year, the concession stand didn't even open until halftime, and when it did open they didn't have any popcorn or hot dogs????

both concessions have been open at the games i've been at, much better than last year. not much better, but better.

lights would be a GREAT improvement. i was shooting iso 1600 yesterday and it was still blurry. i can't afford expensive lenses to shoot any fast than i'm shooting. more lights would be sooo much better

They've been trying to get caps for the lights to black out the Vines going on like 6 years now. I doubt they're gonna pour money into getting new lights for you camera schmoes. The dudes who need the proper lighting have the access to the giant flash bulbs up on the ceiling.

Last I heard was they were not going to be able to get the shades for the lights....I think the cheapest shades they found was something like $20,000

I propose multi colored seats like at the Super Dome. That way it'll appear we have more people on TV :D

BOTH? I thought we had four possible stands.

One of them (on the baptist side) is full of coke machines--$1.25 bottle vs. $2 something at the regular concession stand.

I haven't seen those used in a long time. Les Schofer (LU's photog) and I have had several conversations about the lighting in the Vines Center. Believe me, it's not just me.

there are actually four concession areas, we just only use two. one has a bunch of aramark drink machines that are cheaper than the concession stands and have no waiting. the concession stands are run by marriott/LU dining..whatever they call it now, and they do not staff the stands properly. the campbell and nyack games i waited at least 25 minutes to get somew nachos. i heard several people in line say they would never come back. the game experience is much more than just the game. i hope the athletic dept will realize that.

Well, to be fair, I haven't been able to make the last couple of games so that very well may be. Les has some new help, so it may have been the new guy.

$1.25 for a bottle of Pepsi now. WOW. I remeber back in 2000, they were still 80 cents a bottle.

Part of the reason why I've given up drinking soda

Soda is way cheaper than everything else. Unless you just go with the water fountain.

If they can only turn out one batch of nachos every 25 minutes, it's no wonder they have to charge so much for them. At that rate it's barely worth for them to have the place staffed. What's going on up there?

But they do give you a nice plastic football-shaped bowl for your nachos that you can take home as a souvenir.

My understanding is that the seats are in our Navy Blue and each one has the eagle logo in them. The person I spoke with said they look very sharp and the molds are being done by a company not far from LU.
