A friend of mine who practices with the basketball team told me that its pretty likely Rell Porter won't be coming back either. apparently he has been injuryt prone from the day he got here and that had some effect on it. I can't remember the other name but Rell was a bit of a surprise even to me. I told my roommate that I hope very much that he is wrong about it though.

Hey I didn't say it was true, and at least I have no problem saying what I said since Im registered (unlike you mr guest) Why do you think I told my roommate that I hope very much he's wrong about that. Me personally, even when I heard it I said to myself, they need him. He was probaby one of if not the best post player we had last year. I did hear Bigby also (but people probably already figured that one.

Well, those like JF dont have time to get on here but they are filled in when it needs to be done...everyone is pretty much very aware of this site, Coach's, Admin, and many others do get on here quite frequently

BJ I cant fault you for saying what you hear, although the chances of that are less than 1%, Someone went up to him one time saying "Hey that hurts that David Dees left you" and his response was "Let him go, I'm a Liberty Flame and I only want those who feel the same way I do on this team" This is why he comes to play every night...This kid is one of the most dedicated players we have...but like I said it's important to post things you hear (as long as you trust your sources)

I think Russell has more value to us to redshirt this season, continue practicing hard and getting some of these guys to really harp on him and push him. I think part of the problem was this year, he had absolutely no competition. Rell couldn't bang with him down low in practice.

I'm most excited about Baker coming back. He'll probably start the season backing up Hubbard at the 4 but at 6'9, he has some SERIOUS range. I believe he's everything Doug was not.

We're going to have a nasty lineup next year. If we can gel early, look out.

I cant wait until the preseason polls come out, b/c they will not put us but around 5th or so, and thats great! Talking about Baker I was watching him shoot and in 10 mintues from 3 point range I think he hit 15 out of 18.....it was sick

wuts up guys. im the guest, with the exeption of some reply's. this is not true. rell is captin and will be retuning. he has a minor injury to his foot, and should be back soon. who is this practice player that u are talking about?

He might have played in one or two games but I believe he broke his foot real early in the season.

He came here hurt and it was a understanding when he signed....I'm pretty sure he didnt see the floor at all

Baker took a medical redshirt before the season started and he did not suite up for any gmaes including pre-season....I am looking forward to seeing what the new faces can do when they get their chance.

that's true he didnt suit up. boy can this kid shoot though. and just the fact that he is 6 foot 9. he'll be used for alot of picking and popping. that shot is something special! BJ is another one who can shooti it from deep as well

I'm interested to see the type of sets Coach D throws out.

We can go small with BJ/Blair/Brew in the backcourt and Hubbard/McClean/Porter in the frontcourt. Or we can go big with Blair, Brew, Hubbard, McClean and Jones.

Don't forget about ASmith when we are talking about the rotation mix. We all remember that he can play as well. I can't wait to see the guys hit the floor.

he got hurt in the playoffs of his senior year. i think he hurt it and didnt really treat it. so his tendon began to grow over the bone. so in his surgery they cut the tendon and put it under the bone like it's supposed to be. he is having trouble stopping on it. he should be fine a month or so

It was an injured ankle ligament and he had corrective surgery on it fairly early in the season, so they're expecting him to be fine.
