Exactly whats the point. You guys get off on these stupid subjects. Who cares.

Why do you care if they want to talk about it? How is it stupid for them to have a conversation about something they want to talk about?

Listen, I never went to Duke, but I grew up about 20 miles down the road from there. In that area there are three schools that are as well supported as any professional sports franchise I have ever seen. People in North Carolina pick one of the three and root for them, because they compete on the national stage so regularly. (Well, maybe not NCSU, but their fans like to dream.) The three schools are central to the economy and culture of the area. Life revolves around UNC, NCSU and Duke in the Triangle area. There's no getting around it. If you don't understand it, that's fine, but for people from the area it's no more stupid about arguing over how the Yankees do business.

Why don't you send each other e-mails. Or start another thread about the graduation rate of divison one basketball players.

Look at the date...that was 7 years ago...since then the NCAA has REALLY beefed up their regulations and developed a points system (APR) this will be interesting for ALOT of schools...not just LU


but just read the rules the NCAA has put in place and look at the roster and go through which ones graduated from Liberty....transfers count as those who did not graduate even if they graduate at another school

That's actually the data set that the NCAA uses for GSR. The 2007 info is based on 1997-2000 Cohorts. Whatever that means. So we're in good shape there. However APR is not so great. And that's where immediate scholly losses could be

We are in the 30th - 40th percentile in basketball with a score of 910+

according to that article I posted, 925 is an expected 50% graduation rate. If we keep up this rate we lose a scholarship

No, it was only two years ago. The data is for the class that was incoming for the academic year 2000-2001, aka the class of 2005. Unless I completely misread it.
