Ok if uniforms dont have anything to do with the opposing teams mindset or intimidation factor, would you be opposed to wearing pink uniforms with bows on them? I think so, for that very reason!

No, if you'd use your brain, you'd realize that our school put out a branding guide last summer as to what our official colors were (as a matter of fact, our warmups this year were a copyright violation if you want to get into it). Pink is not one of our official colors.

Red, white, blue. Those are what they should be.

Guys the Colors were a guideline and nothing more. Technically our men's warmups were supposed to be navy blue but they were so dark that they did look black. As far as having black jerseys or grey jerseys, I am ok with it. I really don't like the grey esp on TV (Ohio St always looks washed out to me) but I don't mind the black. In the Sorensen/White/Jackson/Aluma era we wore Red as our home jerseys due in part to the fact that a lot of schools were doing it but also because our guys didn't like the way the White shorts fit. We did it in 05-06 too but none this season. I will have to wait to see what the jersey's look like before I judge but It is clear that RMK has some connections at Nike

That statement completely negates anything you say from here on out concerning uniforms.

SJ I agree with what you are saying and what the guidelines say. it is possible to have a black uniform with Red and Blue in the mix. This is not ground breaking stuff. As mentioned before both Duke and Florida do it and their school colors don't have any black in them.

Dook and Florida are run by Nike though. They get no choice in the matter.

They are much more then just mere suggestions...every department at Liberty got these guidelines and were told to abide by these...University Relations did a lot of the work on this and getting it out there to use.....there is absolutely no need to have jerseys other colors then the red white and the blue....The athletic department could make a case if they were trying to make more money off different color jerseys, but you can't even by the red white and blue jerseys, so that arguement is over...

there are students here that do not know the school colors, i know this sounds dumb, but its true....so adding alternate colors at this stage in our development as an athletic department would just be a mistake in my mind....maybe years and years down the road...but not right now...

Looks like we hit a little nerve on this one! Simply, I just like the idea of possibly getting black jerseys. Others don't like it and thats fine, but there are some people who would like to see it. I'm all for red and blue, but am not opposed to adding different colors as alternate jerseys.

I'm not against it either, just not at this stage....the student know nothing about this school and school colors...lets start traditions and other things that other schools have as far as athletics goes, and then maybe we can get back to this...but its just not the time for it....but that is my opinion...of course others will disagree, and in the end the athletic department and coach mckay will make the final decision, and thats fine...

I'd have to say no on the "extra" colors as well. Our blue and red jerseys look sharp.

Out of the four I like the two uniforms on the ends the best. (black and green). I like them. Don't care if you don't!

How about this? Neither of those things would come out of basketball's budget. Uniforms do.

And how about this? If last year's unis were not in compliance with the school's marketing/branding contract with Prototype (and I would guess that to be case since they were allegedly designed by an assistant coach), then I can pretty much guarantee that we'll be getting new uniforms for '07 that do comply. I would also guess that that's one of the reasons a certain somebody is cartwheeling down to Georgia right about now.

I doubt the wrong color used on a uni helped get Dunton fired. I'm sure it just annoyed dorks like us (it seriously bothered me). cartwheeling down to georgia is the first cartwheel joke that made me laugh. I guess it was the visual.
