not yet. If LU wins both of their remaining games and Coastal loses both their remaining games (a distinct possibility), LU gets the third seed. If they both split or Coastal wins both and LU doesn't, then they clinch third seed

Updated tournament scenarios:
WINTHROP
Clinched No. 1 seed

HIGH POINT
Clinched No. 2 seed

COASTAL CAROLINA
Clinches third with a win over UNCA at home or one LU loss. Has clinched a tournament home game.

LIBERTY
Can clinch fourth if:
1. Liberty beats VMI, because at worst the teams would tie and Liberty would own the season sweep
2. Liberty loses twice and VMI loses to High Point. Again, the teams would tie at 6-8 and Liberty would win the tiebreaker via beating second-place High Point.

Can clinch third only if:
Liberty beats VMI and Radford and Coastal Carolina loses to UNC Asheville and Winthrop

VMI
Can clinch fourth if:
1. VMI beats Liberty and wins at High Point, thus sending the tiebreaker all the way down to UNCA. Liberty split with UNCA, VMI swept UNCA.

Can clinch fifth if:
1. VMI wins its final two games
2. VMI wins one of its final two games and UNCA loses one of its final two games.

Falls to sixth if:
1. VMI loses out and UNCA wins out.

VMI cannot win a tiebreaker with Liberty without beating High Point on the road.

So a UNCA/Liberty matchup is a possibility? I have been preparing for VMI for TV in a 4/5 matchup. I hope we get at least a 4 (for obvious reasons) and I would like to see another LU VMI matchup in the Vines. That would be fun game as the last game of the year in the Vines Center.

i would rather face UNCA because VMI is just a SCARY team to face in the 1st round. i don't think any team wants to play them at all.

Anyone see Chris's article about LB & Reggie Williams? He devotes about 10 lines to LB getting the BSC scoring title, and then concludes the article with 22 lines about how Williams will be the record-holder in less than a year. LB doeesn't even have the title yet--but will earn it tonight (unless Larry "misses the bus," says Lang)--yet most of the article was about Williams, not Blair, which I found disappointing. Let LB enjoy the limelight now instead of crowning RW as king already, Chris.

Not a fact yet, Super. God forbid, but injuries do happen or he could even transfer schools out of the BSC. On the farm, the saying is, "don't count your chickens before they're hatched."

The fact is that Williams is on pace to completely crush any record that LB sets.

Injuries do happen, so it's not a fact that he definitely will, but he is on pace to crush the record, so even if he does get hurt, he's got a great chance of breaking it.

It's not my job to be a Liberty cheerleader, Jim. The fact that Blair will set the mark isn't news. It's been inevitable all season and has been reported as such in stories throughout the year. The Williams bit was a bit of forward thinking. Nothing wrong with that.
