According to the N&A, VMI's tallest starter is only 6'5" so hopefully McLean has a field day and Brew comes off the bench to block a ton of shots; VMI's Reggie Williams is second in the nation in scoring (28 PPG), so hopefully Smith keeps him under 20. Here's to hoping that Holland sees much more time at PG than Hubbard and Brew has a career game for us off the bench. I'd HATE to see us get run out of our own gym tonight.

I really don't see Smith holding Williams under 20......VMI's second leading scorer averages 20 as well

Holding Williams under 20 is near impossible. You really can't understand it until you see this style of play. Run and gun, most shots will be taken by both teams with probably 25 seconds left on the shot clock at the least. 40 more possessions in the game than your used to, and VMI traps at every chance, after missed shots, etc. Mclean should have around 25-30 pts and whoever plays the "post" with him should score 20, regardless of who it is.

And you have to consider that BOTH teams will probably go over 100 pts. To do that most likely someone on each team, maybe 2 people on each team, will score AT LEAST 20 pts. For those paying attention to this style of play, Emory and Henry in the ODAC runs it. (Both men and women). I am not sure if they have played AT LC or not, but if they haven't, it would be worth the trip across town. You can justify it by saying you are paying your respects to the old Thomas Road Church!
