I stopped watching. It's too painful. Dale has got to know his days are numbered.

Absolutely disgusting. What is the excuse in the presser after this one? Presbyterian had a player returning and are now an NCAA tournament team? Nobody would pass Ethan Layer the ball? Gregg Nibert paid the referees millions of dollars?

I took a look at the boxscore, and we literally did not make enough 2 pointers, as simple and obvious as it may sound. we made more 3s, made more free throws (one more I know) but they made more 2 pointers by I think 7 (which creates the margin).

Less rapid reaction

Joe Retic was NOT a bright spot He is going into JC mode. He's more talented than Ajax but the effect on the team will be the same.
I cannot over state how much I'm in love with Theo Johnson. His stat line wasn't super but the kid is a player and more importantly coachable. He rebounds, plays great D and has a nice offensive game.
Ethan Layer had a career high because they were not guarding him. They were not worried about him beating them.
I was tough on Maxwell early but I like the kid as a project. He's a load. He just needs to learn how to play basketball
Gielo coming back will not help this team. But he makes us,hopefully, more respectable
I didn't see any indication of DL giving up on the team but saw definite signs he's lost a couple of players and is in danger of losing a few more.
While the plastic chairs at the Vines are less comfortable than the padded ones, especially for 2 games, they provide more leg room
Finally, the next time there is a Double header, make the second game start 30 minutes after the first game. Waiting an hour plus was crazy especially with crappy concessions. Make it falls delayed on TV if it tips before 7

Just a day of horrible basketball for me. Watched my grandfather's alma matter get whipped up and down and the court by West Point. Then come home and watch Liberty lose at home in an empty Vines Center to one of the worst D1 teams in the country. This is just the definition of insanity at this point

Vaas kind of sums up my feeling pretty well

I taught him last summer in summer school. The student-athlete had a great attitude and was very teachable. If anyone missed the game (or wants to see it again), MASN will be rebroadcasting it at 1:00 this morning. According to Layer on the post-game show, "we lost the game in the first half." He also lamented how the poor free throw shooting hindered the team: 10-22 at 45% (in comparison, the girls shot 70% from the line tonight, 14-20).

Embarrassing. What else can you say. My 12 win over/under for the year, looks very optimistic right now. Another 20 loss season?

It's not like Presbyterian was channeling their inner Steve Alford.

I disagree that lack of energy is the narrative behind this loss. I agree energy was lacking but think it is more of a symptom. I'm not at practice, but these kids don't look inspired. Do they buy in? Difficult to find meaning in the Retic quote other than to conclude something is missing. Can't fix what you can't identify. I agree with the comment above about losing players and remember hearing similar rumblings in past years. I'll confess I watched this game (Campbell, too, for that matter...) and my impression was that both Layers wanted it head and shoulders above anyone else tonight.

Really wish it was just fixed..
