Found out today we get Mizzou and Northwestern on a Saturday/Monday before flying out to Vegas to play two games out there in the LV Invitational, we play IUPUI out there as well. Did find out as well that we have Jacksonville coming to our place on Nov. 16. I always like to see us play each other due to the Artis Gilmore connection. Add in our opener at Xavier and playing at UGA right before Christmas, the schedule seems to be shaping up decently, although one cupcake, Hiawasee, has surfaced already.

I've got a crazy idea... Liberty already spends money like it's water and clearly ROI isn't the end goal, so why not offer some minor guarantee games to high level mid-majors to get quality opponents in Vines?

I mean Liberty's operating budget right now for basketball alone is almost equal to Charleston Southern, Longwood, PC, and Asheville's combined.

With that schedule you should welcome a cup cake or two!

With Eddie B gone, it looks like Holtmann has appointed himself the new resident masochist of the BSC.

I am a huge fan of UD as their head coach Monte' Ross is a childhood friend. I have seen a snapshot of the schedule and I didn't see this game on it. I hope it is true. I will have to check with coach Ross.

With my wife's family living in Newark, practically on the U of D campus, it appears our New Years plans may have made themselves.

Awesome!

Mrs. Sly & I are checking on hotels in Corpus for the Nov 29th & 30th games in South Texas. If I were a betting man, I would guess the first two games in that tournament would be perhaps Monday & Tuesday before Thanksgiving at UVa in a pool with Hampton and either Missouri State or Ark-Pine Bluff.

In a perfect world from my perspective, they'd be playing in College Station again instead of Charlottesville.

I wouldn't expect the Corpus Christi tournament to be set up that way. I think it will follow most of the other tournaments nowadays where the "lower division" teams (Liberty, Hampton, Pine Bluff, and SHSU) visit two of the "upper division" (UVA, Mizz St, SMU, Texas A&M) on random dates before the tournament. Then when they get to Texas the four divisional teams play each other. So Liberty would be looking at something like:

at UVA
at Missouri State
vs Arkansas Pine Bluff (in Corpus Christi)
vs Hampton/Sam Houston St (in Corpus Christi)

Could be wrong, but that's usually the way it goes. I'd be surprised if there are neutral site games in Charlottesville.

All I know is I will be living in DC by the time basketball season rolls around and a trip or two to Lynchburg will be on the agenda. Of course if the SID would get their act together then we would have the full schedule by now!! GEEZ!!! (the last part was a joke BJ, please don't kill me)

Just three Sub-DI games by my count. Two of those are throwing bones to fellow Christian schools and the other is the crosstown season opener. Very nice schedule IMHO.

The Princeton game certainly does raise some eyebrows. Wish it were on a date when the students would be around. But I think most of us are happy having them come to the Vines whenever we can manage it.

Congrats to CCoach layer and the staff on lining this all up.

I'll be on the road with hoops a lot more this year ... only trips I anticipate missing are UVa and the rest of the Corpus Christi experience, but that's mostly because I think football will still be playing the last week of November, provided it beats Coastal in October.

More random pics of you from me on FB are in your near future Lang! It is going to be a fun season. I like this schedule too. UVA game on LFSN could be pretty cool. I hope that happens.
