I know I read that. But this is here and I'm bored!
Still can't believe you'd take Taurasi ahead of EDD. C'mon man! You have like 50 years of coaching over here disagreeing with you! :D

Delle Donne is flavor of the month. I know what Taurassi can do and has done at all levels. Elena will be a very good pro but she doesn't quite have the fire that Diana has IMO. It will be nice for DD to not see triple teams though. She is going to be tough to guard when she has more talent around her though. I'm a much bigger Delle Donne fan though that's for sure. For reasons that you so delicately stated earlier but also because she is from the Delaware Valley where I honed my CONSIDERABLE Basketball skills. :D

I was actually looking forward to the WNBA draft, since the Washington Misfits had the worst record in the league, but they pulled a Les Wizerables type of move and dropped to the 4th spot in the lottery. I would have seriously considered going to a game or two if either Delle Donne or Griner had been on the roster.

The intangibles (read, "fire") bring Taurasi (c'mon guys, learn to spell it!) to the same level. Cheryl Miller ran through my mind when typing earlier, but Parker and Delle Donne have greater size.

SCAR - exactly. How many times was DT double or triple teamed? She doesn't wear her emotions on her sleeve like DT either, which I'm a fan. She has great intestinal fortitude based on her back story and the fact she walked away from Geno.

The fact she says she has been open about it to everyone should tell you a great deal about where Baylor stands on the issue these days. But this is hardly a new revelation about how BU has lowered their standards. I remember going to a game between Liberty & Baylor in Waco back in the Late '90s when a later to be deposed Dave Bliss gushed over the PA that he was excited for one of his starting guards whose girlfriend had gone into labor. And he added excitedly that the player & his girlfriend were now even considering getting married in the next year. Sin vergüenza.

Watch your language :nono

At least our players keep pregnancy and homosexuality under wraps :P
But I do agree that if you asked the casual fan if Baylor was a Baptist/Christian school they would think you were joking

To a degree, that is my point. We certainly are all sinners but the aspect of acting like it was an open discussion with no indication that the folks at Baylor had any issue with the openness is what bothers me. Of course, I am surrounded by a slew of Baylor alumni who continue to believe their alma mater is just as grounded in the Word as it was when they went to school decades ago. Uh, how's that working for them?
