The Flames Club selection event with the men's basketball team was great. Lot's of energy, big crowd and good to hear from Barber & Coach Layer. Appreciated Barber's comments that athletics are not the most important thing at Liberty, but they are the most visible. Coach Layer talked about the character of his team, about the way that hard work puts teams in a position to win and referenced a redemption analogy as he reflected on the story of the season. You could sense the weight that coach Layer carried this year as he sought to fight back the emotion and express his joy in the way his team had stepped up .. i think he reminded everyone that we aren't done yet!

Look forward to seeing everyone in Dayton!

Friday in Philly was really the only scenario I was considering. However Lexington is only 6 hours from Lynchburg. But that is a 2 day committment since the game is on Thursday so I am going to have to pass. That really hurts me to say... I was in the building for the 1st 2 NCAA appearances so it is going to be hard to not be there. I'll be watching this one from the crib.

If I hadn't already spent a week in Myrtle with the team, I'd concede the fandom competetion to you. Also my boss would like me to head out to Long Beach a few times in the near future, not to mention my time spent in DC, Baltimore, VA Beach and oh yeah, covering Liberty all over the Big South. I need to keep my large booty home this week. ( I really really really wanna go too! Media passes at the NCAA tourney! WOW!). Man I almost talked myself in to going just now.

I don't count a week in Myrtle Beach high on the fandom chart. Now, a week in Radford......

I'm looking forward to see what new shows they will promote. I enjoy Hardcore Pawn
I loved Bait Car and Police POV but they haven't been on in months.

Looking past the play in game, i know that there would have been a 99% chance at a loss but with Louisville's D, and our lack of PG, that is a 40 point loss. I really wanted to avoid that. Remember CSU's press at the end of the bsc championship? We didnt handle that very well and Lville does it way better and for 40 minutes.

So to that I say, I am going to enjoy the heck out of Tuesday.

Agreed with the sentiment that Louisville is the worst possible matchup for us as a #1. Our only real chance of keeping it competitive is if Louisville comes out flat and I don't see that happening with Pitino as coach. Hopefully Tuesday goes well, but Thursday could be a nightmare.

This thread is about the bracket draw. Either talk about it now or never.

The best basketball in the nation is played in the South and on the east coast, thus Greensboro would be a better venue, and closer to fans of schools playing...........most of the time.

That makes no sense. IF the best basketball is played in the South and the East then the last 4 teams would mainly come from North and West. Therefore, if your aim is to have the most fans at that game the venue should be like in Provo or Enid.

Just put in my ticket request. From the sounds of things, there are plenty left. If you're on the fence, you have until noon before they start to distribute. Get out there and support LU if you're within driving distance!
