Forget the past, it's history. LU needs to focus on the future. Presently, LU is one of the worst programs in the nation. There are probably high school teams in the state that could beat us, or at least give us a good game. Changes need to be made. If VCU can be a Top 20 team, LU can be a top 50 team.

The thing that makes absolutely no sense is the amount of money VCU spends on recruiting ($283,000). It's the highest in the state beyond UVA and Va Tech.

There is a reason why we call them revenue and non-revenue sports. I understand why you create campus spirit and activities. However when you invest to the degree LU has on last five years I would think someone is evaluating. Secondly where one works or has worke is very relevant. There is usually office politics in play and your source of income influences perspectives. I have wished ill of no coach and praised performance when it was noteworthy unlike some on here when a coach finishes 1 or 2 in three of five seasons in a D1 conference. But what would one expect from a message board other than a vatiety of self acclaimed experts. Let's hope for a home win over Longwood!

Again, you are using a consumer model for a college athletic department. And then attemp to twist it to fit your narrative. Simply put, there is more to running an athletic department than saying We spent X number of $$ therefore we should have X number of wins.

He had a poor year in a contract year, and the decision was made not to renew. Heck, the decision was made four weeks prior to the end of the season! Even in a consumer business model, it's easy for one to justify not retaining him.
