We suck, we will more than likely have a new coach next year. What else do you want people to say on here?? That we were wrong about your boy? Because that is simply never going to happen. He is just as responsible for the lack of consistency that this program has had for years and years.
First of all none of the figures past or present are my boys. Secondly i watched the Hankinson debacle then RD come back and bring us a Championship and pride in the Vines Center. He earned a contract extension plain and simple. JB choose to go with his man and now we have dismantled the momentum. If RD and his staff had the past six years obviously his BSC finishes alone say we would be at the top of conference with at least one more NCAA tournament appearance. RD was committed to bringing consistency. This one is on the AD.

This. Bad shooting, no primary ball handler, and for some reason Sanders is still getting 30 minutes a night. At this point it's a coach who won't admit he's wrong and at least try something different.
As far a Sander´s minutes are concerned, prior to this debacle he had been our leading scorer and arguably most effective offensive player in BSC play thus far. I really don´t ,get all the hate for JC. He picked up minutes that had been going to Casey Roberts because after a fast start to the season Roberts wasn´t producing of late. Last night he did and JC didn´t. We´ll see how that affects the PT next game.
Even in his "good" games, JC has been a turnover machine. 3 assists and 5 TOs in the Coastal win. When his shot is going he should get some minutes. When it's not, he should be riding the pine. He should likely never see 30 minutes in a game.

RD isn't your boy?? Could've fooled me.

RD won a championship and I had so much fun at the game. It is one of my favorite college memories. I will never forget it. If that was the beginning of the rise for the program I would've been ecstatic, but the inconsistency that still plagues us today plagued us with him. We are at the level that players will transfer from time to time. It happens, but at the level I have seen at level I have seen since that championship season has been unacceptable. The coach that comes in and can recruit well and get them to stay here will be the coach that turns this program around. Until that happens, nothing will change. I can't speak much about the time before 03'-'04 as that was my freshmen year and therefore that is when I started following LU sports but I sure as hell can speak for the last 10 years and this program has never been anything to be proud of for longer then a season at a time no matter who the coach was.

You will never see that because your love for RD blinds you of the real truth. Never in my life have I seen such loyalty to a coach who had 1 decent season and lets be honest if it weren't for getting hot at the right time that season wasn't that great either. It never will make sense, but I guess it doesn't have to

You are right LUtiafot. Meyer was struggling in the D2 transition until he hired RD on staff. Talent level jumped.

Ignore my long, decently thought out post, because there is no real response to it. This program has never been very good...ever .

Everyone acts like they're surprised that the Big South is bad this year. If you're surprised, then you're not paying attention.

The Big South goes in four year cycles. This year, everyone is super young. That's because last year everyone graduated a bunch of four-year seniors. In four years, it'll be back to being a pretty decent conference. Right now, it's gonna suck.

You lack vision. If we had stayed the course not only would Liberty be in great shape, the entire conference would be amazing! :D
