Amen. Just down there last week seeing family, took in a couple of great ones on the Dunedin Causeway and off of Edgewater Drive in Dunedin as well.....

The tourney in Myrtle is a dumb move, but what did we really expect, it to be played in Boiling Springs or Buies Creek?

I got to "tour" the new Coastal arena in April. The floor was down and looking nice. It holds about 3,600 and reminded me of a mini-Siegel Center for those that have been to a VCU game. There is chair seating on one side of the court with two or three "luxury" boxes (one w/ alcohol, one without). The rest of the seating is bleacher style. They only had a ribbon board up at the time when I was there so I'm not totally sure of the scoreboard situation.

The arena is also alongside the fitness center and you can actually see people running around the track from inside the game.

Honestly, I was surprised at how small it was.

All games on CCU's campus, it appears. No opening round games on campus. Men play: Tues, Thurs, Sat. and Sunday.........

Based on the dates of this tournament, it looks like the Final 4 is creeping deeper and deeper into April. The Final 4 is now April 6-8 2013. Just like the SuperBowl is now in Feb and the World Series is finishes sometime in early November now.

Are we still the first conference tournament championship game? I think that's been a huge asset for the conference. It being on Sunday makes me think no.

No. A-Sun usually holds its tourney title game on the Saturday with the Big South. I think one other league might have held it that day. OVC maybe?
