Oh big Doug. Actually No. Doug did not fit in well at the Big South level. But I was called over Paul Guede. A foreign exchange student who lived with my family for a few years that had commitable offers from Wisconsin, Green Bay, Valpo, UNCW and was heavily recruited by Baylor. Paul took my advice and avoided Randy Dunton like the plague. He just finished a decent career at Portland St. and is playing overseas at the moment. Thanks Randy for proving my point. I told him if he came here, you wouldnt be his coach for college. Thanks for proving me right!!!

You are wrong again. But hey I will take your assumptions as a positive and we certainly can disagree. Just because someone screams doesn't make it more truthful than a whisper.

Just the way you start your comment shows how petty and trivialized your arguments have become. No sense in even addressing the topic of JB or anyone else in admin with folks like you or IM.

When I first started reading FF, petty bickering would have turned me off quickly; I don't recall seeing too much of the TorC types, back then. Now I'm addicted and I have to deal with the trolls!

Since you quoted it now I have to read it. Lol
There is no point in debating 'merits' with ToC because he will always change the goal post. He sorta reminds me of Glenn Close from Fatal Attraction. Just can't let it go and gets more psycho

Sorry Purple- didn't think that I'd override someone's foe feature. Maybe I need to turn it on, as well.

No- I assumed, based on your comments that you weren't... umm... partaking of TorC's comments, but you saw them when I quoted him. I went on to suggest that maybe I should refrain from seeing his comments, as well.

Carry on.

You are correct sir. He says the same thing over and over so I get it. Like I said he is akin to Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. Be sure to hide your rabbits!

And when the performances of our LU administrators/programs are questioned then the attack dogs come out. That is why we continue to lose a fan base- no accountability for losing (it was injuries), no accountability for playing a football player charged with cocaine felony (it was circumstances). This is about competition and we should be open to that. But with humans is usually political and the defense of excuses/mediocrity after six years speaks volumes. If there is a fatal attraction it is to see LU win a Championship with all we have been blessed with. To whom much is given much is required....

what about other programs that are doing well? Should we ignore those since it doesn't fit your agenda?

Again you choose what you want to read. I have been critical of the basketball program. It has been inconsistent since I came to campus in 2003. Attendance has been inconsistent and so has the players within the program. Nothing RD did was any different then what has happened since he left except he won a conference championship which bought him some time. Some time he did nothing with.

You are the one that can't handle criticism. I know the basketball program has been pretty bad for a long, long time. I also know RD was losing support which was evident in the attendance drop off while I was there. When you have a personal relationship to the person involved its impossible to be objective.

But continue to read what you posts fit your agenda and ignore the ones that don't. It just makes you look that much more ridiculous.

You are like the man standing in the Krispy Kreme entrance door saying "I don't believe in fat grams." RD averaged over 3100 (*as TBGBG pointed potential lies to downgrade) in his last six games of 2007, had over 5000 at VMI game compared to our 1500 in 2012 all pre-athletic department media blitzes. Turned the MH titanic around in two years to win us one of our only two NCAA bids. He went 2,1,2 to start his tenure...that is not special? are you kidding me, then disciplined, reshuffled as most programs have to and fell off, but regain footing with a strong 3rd place and had TeeJay, Dwight, Rell, Anthony, BJ, Ohman, Alex returning. Don't say those facts are subjective. RD would not have left us with out a championship in the last five years and would not have jumped ship.

On to the future I look forward to more excuses, innuendos and attacks.

For the record I never said he wouldn't of had success, but its impossible to talk as if it was definitive that success was around the corner.

I will say this again I liked RD was here and I am still not sure if it was the right decision, but to paint the program as something that was stable while he was here is completely inaccurate. Also I never remember thinking, "no way! There is more people here then that!". It was almost always the opposite.

I also am not some JB apologist. I don't think for one second he has done anything here that most athletic directors couldn't of accomplished with the money he was given. The one thing has built over time as we look to move up is contacts with conferences. We can not fire a man who has worked hard to build those contacts. We can not reshuffle things from the top like that. It just wouldn't be a smart move.

I know you hate JB and everything he did with your friend but maybe one day you will get over it.

You can't give Dunton credit for Ohman, either. Kid was a walk-on who barely sniffed the floor under Dunton. He didn't start playing well until McKay showed up.

Yes CHRIS but that's because of the super secret plan to keep his great talent hidden only to be sprung upon our unwitting opponents at the appropriate defined moment! And the plan would have worked if it wasn't for the dastardly JB and you meddling media types! Play Hockey

Are you saying that RD wasn't the one to put Ohman in his program. Once LB and Hubbard left he probably would have got his shot, but regardless the players in the programs when RD was force out would have been favored to win it all. And we would not have just weaved out front to jack up 3's.

I'm saying Ohman walked on. He wasn't a recruited walk-on. He tried out and made the team and was tethered to the end of the bench during Dunton's final year. No idea what Randy's plans were for Kyle the next season, but I'm saying you can't really give Dunton any credit for "finding" Ohman. Ohman found LU.

This does not fit the agenda so therefore will not be responded to. He will simply lump you into the LU kool-aid drinking group which will be comical of course, haha
