BTW Jesse Sanders only needs 4 assists to become the all time assist leader in Liberty History passing the great Karl Hess! He has already had the Big South record for a couple of weeks. He is going to burry that assist record at this rate for both the school and the conference.

What is perhaps even more impressive or at least equally so is that he is going to finish his career among the top 10 rebounders of all time in conference! Coming into tonight he is only 53 rebounds away from the top 10 in conference history.

If David Minaya could get his outside shot going Liberty will be that much better IMHO. He is shooting 7-44 from three coming into tonight. He is a much better shooter than that.

I'm glad our guys were down got blindsided out of halftime but found a way to regroup and fight back.

Having said that, it's still a loss.

That was an ugly last possession. I haven't watched a lot of the basketball games. Does the offense always look so herky-jerky?

Great job fighting back and continued to show enough potential in stretches to put hope in upsetting someone in the tourney. That being said, that was really bad offensive execution down the stretch.

He's a good shooter in the 15-18 foot range.

It depends on what the defense does.

Reference the technical foul called for not having Walt Aiken's name in scorebook, who enters names in scorebook before each game. I have seen this happen in high school several times, but never in college. Looks as if someone dropped the ball,........or the ink pen.

this all i have heard about Minaya is what a good shooter he is and how great he is in practice. It does not really show at all. He has glimpses of good play and other nights he doesnt show up. With all of that said, i love the heart and never say die attitude of this team. It sucks missing a key cog in what could have been a much better year.

Game was lost when Winthrop absolutely dominated the first four minutes of the second half. Never a good sign when your coach has to call two timeouts before the first media after halftime.

LU is pretty much cemented into playing on the Monday of the Big South tournament now. Goal is to finish tied with or ahead of High Point so LU can host that game.

I see it at least once a year in college.
But I see your point. I blame it on JB!

For once ballcoach is correct. That is completely unacceptable at the college level.

Minaya is not having a good senior year, and it's not just his shooting. He has made some really awful turnovers at the worst possible times, and it has cost us. As much as you hate to say it, I think there comes a point when you can't wait any longer for him to rediscover his game. We have young players like Gielo, Smith and yes...............Baird, who will be key to our future success, and they aren't getting many minutes. Minaya missed 3 games this year in which Baird started and Gielo and Smith saw more minutes, and we went 3-0. Yeah, I know the competition had something to do with that, but I hope Layer is not being loyal to a fault. Unless Dave starts to produce very soon, IMHO we need to move on.

I don't know how LU does it but you see a lot of schools Pre print their rosters to void exactly this type of mistake. With Aikens being a walk on into the season I can see how this might slip through the cracks. I'm sure the Ast Coach that has the responsibility got a talkin too! ( I don't have that responsibility, so when it happened to us I could blame the HC!)

You don't find these problems in my Upward league. No #'s on jersey's anyways. Although it may change soon.
