No. More likely to be an assistant at Georgia Tech.

RT @goodmanonfox: Source told FOXSports.com that Eric Gordon's little brother, Evan, is transferring from Liberty.

I thought BJ was in the running for BOTH of those assistant jobs. HMO, has his resume' already been forwarded to the HC?

serious thought now: With Seth and now Evan how does this hurt our program in the eyes of recruits? I guess that depends on some of the reasons for leaving but I have to believe that potential recruits (and fans for that matter) have to be asking: "What is wrong with Liberty?"

I have no answer. I would like to hear something from our staff on this one. Our recruits come through for this fall and next then this is a non issue. If not then we are in some danger of getting a bad reputation.

Let’s see where Evan ends up. If he ends up at ASU recruits could look at us like a JUCO. Which definitely isn’t good.

i think you kind of have to because all the good would be freshmen that can make an impact are already signed with their prospective schools.

Alot of top ranked/Juco All-Americans are out there and are still available as in Tavares Speaks, God-Gifts Achiuwa, Tyler Brown, Sam Grooms, Dwight Miller, Johnnie Lacy, Guy Landry, etc...who Layer can try and snag.

I wish him the very best. However, I dont think it makes our program look bad it is what it is. Two good players that are looking out for themselves and don't care about the team concept. Yes, good players can get you so far but a TEAM is what brings home a championship. Layer will keep working hard as will the rest of the guys that are here and we will get there.

How’s this for a starting lineup?
Gordon
Curry
BJ Jenkins
Dees
Austin Smith

Small, but talented.

What bothers me is the "wants to play another position" comment. I can deal with Jenkins who just wasn't a LU guy. I can even almost deal with Seth wanting to play at a higher level. I mean I guess when we see where he lands, it may make sense, but right now I just can't get his need to be a PG or whatever. He was the leading scorer, and a valuable player. So is it not enough attention or too much pressure? :dontgetit

I still think Layer will make us better through this, somehow.

Ha! Not meaning to pick on you directly but unless some of you in the know would like to elaborate then what we have to go on is the reason stated.

I for one liked it when Evan played point and Jesse was free to create and score from the 2. I thought that was a nice change up. I think he might be a decent point guard. It is obvious that he would never get to play that position full time next season though.

I look forward to finding a slightly larger 2 guard to fill his spot in the line up. Anyone think either of our incoming guys could play there? They supposedly have some good outside skills.

BJ wasn't an LU guy? Either you have a TERRIBLE source or you're smoking crack. The kid shaved his head out of expect for the rules.
