at the game on Thursday that guy had it actually on his butt...
he was there with a bunch of other people who were dressed up all in good fun. I see nothing wrong with a plastic butt.
on another note the crowd last night was fiesty but not in a good way. i saw more anger, fighting and bickering then Ive seen here since the 2008 presidential election party in the vines center.
it started with some people telling us in the student section to sit down because a CFAW's younger sibling couldn't see.
and then courtesy the news and advance we all were given material to make paper airplanes and throw them at people.
which we did. its apparently a technical foul for the home team if one gets on the court. One guy from the "boo box" did not appreciate this. instead of asking nicely for everyone to stop however, (this man who ill call boo man 1) was VERY angry and VERY confrontational in how he approached the rest of the student body. some students (including a fan in front of me who I'll call "the d-bag") then threw all their paper planes at him, only making him angrier. at halftime, the d-bag made one on the court in defiance of boo man 1. Boo man 1 then yelled at the d-bag, along with other boo box people, one of whom actually cussed at the d-bag (it was just the word "hell" but that should never be shouted at anyone here), then reported him to event staff. event staff man then came to him and told him not to throw things. after this, the d-bag continually mocked boo man 1, including showering him with torn pieces of paper whenever he walked by him.
also, according to David Mckinney's twitter, no one cleaned up the mess that was left after the game until the campus praise band and the rest of the 27 people involved with Sunday morning campus church got there and cleaned what they could.
boo box: wear RED. the irony of wanting to be set apart is that you are going to be held accountable when you act like angry jerks. this was not entirely your fault, but people don't respond well to being yelled at. the guy sitting in front of me (and even some of the people sitting in the row behind me too) definitely took this WAY too far, but it goes both ways.
