It's tourney time, like them or not, you can't brush off Peele and the Eaglets.

However, seeing a pregame meeting Thursday with Ellis and Duggar would be very interesting after Duggar's comments in the NYT article. In a perfect world, we'd see a Duggar/Holtmann man hug instead.

BJ gets angry when people don't think we will win...

with that said I think this is the best shot we have had in years. I know we haven't played well, but we also haven't had much to play for. I know we should bring it every game, but you know once the top seed was out of reach and we had the 2 seed locked up its natural to let your guard down a little bit.

I think we win...but it will be close. I wish I was close to virginia. My best sports memory at liberty is that 2004 Big South championship game. The Vines hasn't been that loud since and it was simply amazing...everytime we play High Point I think of how one sided that game was...amazing..I hope to see a loud and happy Vines come saturday afternoon...

We got into a shootout with CCU, which was fatal. I'm proud of our effort and like y'all, am looking forward big time to 2011-12.

I never thought I would ever root for VMI, but I am now, the Duggar/Cliff exchange during pregame should be interesting.

I don't think there's any way that Coastal can run with VMI with only 7 players two nights after a game like tonight. VMI will likely win that game.

If Shine plays like he did tonight, HPU can beat UNCA.

A tourney final in Cameron Hall would be awesome.

With Barbour being relatively quiet tonight, he could bust out against UNCA, but I don't think that will get them over the hump. UNCA by 8.

VMI will run CCU out of the gym. VMI by 14.

I was leaning towards UNCA, now I'm leaning back to Coastal to win.

Apparently you missed the 27 pts he hung on Appalachian State in the Bracketbuster game.. Also had 27 at Presby and put 19 on UNCA in the first meeting..

Just looking at the box score- & since I wasn't at the game, it would seem to me that Evan Gordon jacking 4 of 14 from 3 pt land was more an anomaly.. I mean you can do that against VA Intermont and get away with it- but in the tourney??? I think Gordon was trying to prove something tonight about the All Conference selection... Layer should have sat him down for a chat on the bench to address the game plan because I'm pretty sure LU hasn't played many games with him shooting that many 3's- was LU down where 3's were needed?

I actually didn't notice those games. Shows how much I'd paid attention to HPU.

The general sentiment around here is that Evan is the main reason we lost this game. He played lazy defense. He didn't move on offense. He jacked threes all night instead of penetrating when he could. He's been lazy and emotional the past three weeks on the court and has really hurt us. We go as Evan goes and he's completely unreliable.
