FamilyNet is foolish not to pick the games up IMHO but I believe they are getting away from sports in general with new ownership.

From Libertyflames.com:
The Flames return to the Vines Center next Thursday to begin the conference season, playing host to Presbyterian College. Liberty leads the budding series against the conference competitor, 4-3. Last season, the Flames swept the Blue Hose winning inside the Templeton Center, 77-67, on Jan.7 and in the Vines Center on Feb. 6, 60-57. The eighth meeting between the two squads will be broadcast on MASN 9 p.m.
I'm guessing that means a tape-delayed game.

The Liberty Flames quote is referring to the PC game, not the Winthrop game.

Tough way to start our conference schedule. I think we are an improved team, but unfortunately, so is most of the rest of the BSC, and noone more than PC, so we will have our work cut out for us to improve on last year's conference record. I'm looking forward to seeing if Antwan, who actually now outweighs Coleman according to the team rosters and can pretty much match him athletically, can hold his own inside. Last time we faced Coleman 2 years ago we had no size, and he gave us fits. JB and the skinny but skilled 6'9 Troyli is another interesting matchup.

I never get tired of that footage...ahh the good old days. To answer the noise question it used to get so loud that in huddles coach Meyer used to have to write down what he was saying sometimes...That was during time outs! That place used to rock. The Vines can get just as loud though, but it takes a lot more people. We could have that atmosphere today if we somehow galvanized the student body. Our students came out in droves back in the day.

Back in the day, like when Peter Aluma, Matt Hildebrand, etc. were playing the Vines was almost full every night. You really couldn't ask for a better atmosphere. I used to drive from Raleigh on a weeknight to go to most of those games. :D

agreed. I think the Vines could be made into a smaller version of itself if they moved convo to trbc or have video feeds in several venues or something...but i doubt that would ever happen

There were great crowds in those days but there were many nights that were not close to full. I agree that the atmosphere was incredible when the crowd was there. The best night was the game against VT when Hildebrand missed the half court shot at the buzzer for the win. It was definitely full that night.

It looks like the UNC-Wilmington at George Mason game is slated for 7PM on MASN. Will it be shown on tape delay?
