I was just working on my scheduling and it looks like I will be working at the South Padre Island tourney. I am anxious to see who the other teams turn out to be.

Wouldn't Texas Pan-Am host the thing?

If Alex were to destroy the venue on South Padre Island in the day or so, my guess is they would move to another in-land location possibly in Harlingen, McAllen or even UT-Pan Am in Edinburg. Let's just pray the hurricane stays away from populated areas like SPI.

Oh yeah, Alex didn't affect South Padre Island at all in regard to the tourney. Its all good.

It's a Tuesday night. Not likely. Right now we need to get some more interest in the football trip to Ball State, or that may not happen either.

Are any of our guys playing summer ball (i.e. pro/am leagues in their respective cities)? Most major cities have them where college guys can play against quality competition. I wonder what UVA and VT do with their incoming freshmen and veterans. I know in Pittsburgh, Pitt, Duquesne, WVU, Robert Morris and some of the D2 colleges have players playing with "grown ups".

I'm not sure about any summer leagues, but I do know most, if not all, of our players (including newcomers) are in Lynchburg and have been for some time now.

I know Jesse & John Caleb were running against other college guys in the HBU gym earlier this summer. I would love to see Jesse working it at Fonde at some point.
