Apparently some of the starters didn't know the game plan very well last year "cough" Brolin "cough"

We have some really smart players on this team, including (but not necessarily limited to) Jeremy, Jesse, and Bill Weaver. Noone has said anything about Bill. He didn't show much offensively last year, but IMHO he still has upside if something clicks and he gets some confidence. Really good defender and maybe our best athlete.
Don't forget Ohman. He's a smart kid too.
If he was smart he wouldn't dribble, have zero attitude and for every great play he made not take another play off mentally on the defensive end.

If Anderson is healthy, I'd bet the farm he's starting at the 2. And, I, too, am hoping great things for Carter this year. Make your dad proud, sonny. You look like Bill Walton: now play like him!

I'd go with something like:

Sanders
Anderson
Ohman
Baker
McMasters

with Minaya, Perez, Gordon and JVP as my next four off the bench. A lot of unknowns on this years team. It seems like a recurring theme but we really need TB to stay healthy and produce this year. He's the most experienced of our big men and can really be a big help to this years team.

I'm most worried about our interior defense.

My Thoughts...

Jesse
Jeremy
Kyle
Tyler
JVP

David and Carter are the first two off the bench and will just be plugged into the lineup and shift people around as needed. Stephene backs up Jesse, and everyone else comes in for injuries, change of pace, and foul trouble.

i'll go with...

Sanders/Gordon/Stephene/Spencer
Perez/Anderon/Weaver
Ohman/Minaya/Konan/Weaver
Baker/Konan/Burrus
McMasters/JVP

I like TD's lineup, with one minor adjustment:

Sanders
Anderson
Ohman
McMasters--outside shooting at the 4
Baker--in the paint shooting at the 5

(it will be the Liberty version of Sam Bowie and Mel Turpin twin towers during their UK glory years).

Our roster has plenty of "diversity". It's nothing like the situation we had a couple of years ago with WBB. If the starting lineup happens to have a vanilla flavor, it will be chocolate sauce coming off the bench, with a side order of Dominican sancocho.

It's either an indication that Tyler is looking good or that Carter and Joel are not. I'll be optomistic and say the former. This is the longest Tyler has stayed healthy, and hopefully it is showing dividends on the floor. Evan must be impressing the coaches to be ahead of Jeremy, although I could see where a pure shooter like Jeremy might be excellent to have coming off the bench.

As long as Anderson & McMasters are the first 2 coming off the bench, I really like that starting 5.

I got to see this team practice a few times during homecoming weekend and I think Coach Layer has his work cut out for him. I think he is up to the challenge though. He is a very patient teacher I know that. I don't know who the starting lineup is but I think a lot of kids are going to play early. I could see him having faith in 11 or 12 players per game in the early going and then letting things play out. My starting lineup would be:

Sanders
Ohman
Anderson
Minayah
Van Der Pool

Why JVP over Baker or McMasters?

Wonderful Scar. That's my pick for the lineup too. Great minds think alike. :D

having his work cut out for him is not something I wanted to hear. I prefer a phrase like "handed the keys to a Ferrari", or something like that.

Layer has said himself that he thinks we'll struggle at the beginning of the season but he thinks by the 2nd half we'll be a good team.
