Hopefully we just say, "Sit on the bench and shut up, other than that your job is to hop plane to plane until you find me a couple AZs"

1 coach was just hired, I dont want to mention his name but it's not Lundy.

Lundy is still in the works though. I had my doubts but I just got off the phone with someone who knows him better then anyone would and now I 100% support the hire of Ludy. They said he would fit a faith based school better than a non faith based school which was great to hear

HPU is a faith based school. Not as strict, but it is. And Im pretty sure Ive heard some not so faith based things from him. I kinda want him though, from a recruiting standpoint. Eaker (who got Curry and the others from last year, GREAT TALENT LEVEL) Layer (who has proven he can recruit) and Lundy (Has brought some of the greatest talent ever into the Big South) This could be fun!

Just got word this can be released:

Myron Guillory

http://csurams.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl ... ron00.html
Myron Guillory enters his second season with Colorado State basketball and assumes the duties of recruiting coordinator in 2006. Guillory brings expertise in recruiting and scouting as well as instruction to the court for CSU this season.

Guillory, a native of Lake Charles, La., was a standout basketball player for Virginia Tech during the mid-90s, helping the Hokies to the 1995 NIT Championship and the 1996 NCAA Tournament second round. While playing with the Hokies, he led Virginia Tech to its highest ranking in school history (8th) in 1996 and helped the team to a school-record 25 wins in 1995.

He was also a standout prep player at Barbe High School in Lake Charles where he earned honorable mention All-American honors, was a two-time all-state selection and was a four-time all-district first team player.

Guillory's coaching resume began at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La., where he was an assistant coach for the Colonels while handling recruitment, travel and film exchange.

Following his time at NSU, Guillory served as an AAU head coach for the Boo Williams Summer League where his duties included fundraising efforts for the league.

In 2002, Myron received a coaching position at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C., where he spent three years. While at Campbell, his focus was on recruiting, scouting, instruction and overseeing team academia. He was also a coordinator for basketball camps for the Camels.

Guillory has a solid academic background as well, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Nicholls State.

Myron and his wife, Courtney (Ottley), are the proud parents of a son, Mason Chase, who was born on July 3, 2005.

False statement. I know you don't like RMK, and I don't either (anymore), but RMK got Curry.

Nice article to today's fishwrap about all of Coach Layer's assistants. I read the hard copy, but don't see it listed yet in the online version of the paper.

Also mentions what players will be back and who won't. Austin Smith is GONE to Northern Arizona, but we did get Johnny Stephene back. Jesse Sanders is back, too, after Coach Layer made a house call down in Houston.

I am with you, I didn't see any value added from Johnny. Maybe he will improve.

I don't know, there were a few rare occasions last season when Stephene really showed some flashes of potential. They were rare, so maybe you weren't watching, but he looked really impressive. If he can pull his game up to that level consistently, he could be a real contributor.
