Most people refer to those garments as shorts but whatever.

Can I just say the build up to this game is the most boring it's been in years? Normally this is the one game where posters from both teams are saying crap back and forth and there has been nothing.

Perhaps it is because the WU fans have been quickly humbled the past two months while still have an uneasy feeling about road games where we have difficulty closing out games. I have a feeling there will be more chatter when the teams meet later in Lynchburg.

Well how about a legitimate game discussion?

What's the best matchup to watch for?

Are they gonna guard Seth like they did Steph this year and last year?

Does being familiar with Davidson/Steph help them against us?

Who is their biggest threat to us?

How bad do they want Greg Marshall back?

This is fairly simple for us, not as easy to do, but a simple game plan.

1. Knock down our 3's at 30% or better.
2. Pack in our zone and force them to shoot from long range.

We do that we win.

Good discussion points, SJ.

It really is tough to know what to think of the Eagles since they haven't been consistent in much of anything this year.

As for Marshall, I think most would have to agree his departure has had a greater impact than they expected.

According to the Herald's preview of the game today, WU is going to have Mantoris Robinson guard Anthony Smith, not Seth Curry...Freshman Andre Jones will probably guard Curry...so WU isn't going to use the exact same gameplan they used against Davidson..and Davidson and LU have Currys, but their similarities don't extend much further. WU got killed by Lovedale in their game against DC, so LU presents a different challenge in that they don't have that true/tall post presence like Lovedale.

WU's biggest threat to LU? Probably Charles Corbin...he's played very well in the last 5 games or so, and he's an athletic enough big guy that he should be able to stay in the game against LU's smaller lineup.

As for Marshall, I don't think any of us wanted to see him go, but he left, so I don't worry too much about it, he made his decision, I don't see the point in pining for him to return. This year has started rough, but it isn't over yet, so I'm not making any final judgments or anything like that on Peele. It is tough for any coach to look good when his team can't hit a jump-shot and miss a handful of lay-ups each game.

Gracias ... Corbin does look like a tough matchup for us.

Will homecourt be a factor?

Hard to say...I don't see there being a huge crowd today due to winter break...so the student section will be close to empty. WU has played much better at home than on the road this year (even in their two home losses, they had shots in the final seconds to win/tie), so they seem to play with more confidence in the Coliseum.

It's Mr. Swag himself.

Standing at 6'7 with "brown skin," he is "a laid back type person" with a "slim body type" who "also love meeting pretty girls."
