In your short time in Lynchburg, have you found a favorite hangout yet?
I can’t say I have been off campus much, we are pretty busy. I love grabbing a meal out, going down to Walmart. I really can’t name a place yet, because I don’t have much free time. My bed right now, I guess.
I guess we'll never know what kind of wings he likes.

They changed the series title from “Magnificent Seven” to “Young and the Restless” :?

I knew it! I thought I was going crazy. I went and checked the previous 3 stories and it said the Young and the Restless. So I figured I was just an idiot.

I'm wondering why the change. Is it possible there are no longer 7, or did they just think "magnificant" might be a bit too overstated? I doubt it's a copyright infringement thing, since titles can't be copyrighted and one would be as bad as the other anyway. Just curious.

It's kind of a PR thing. "Magnificent Seven" can be taken the wrong way and the coaching staff and SIDs don't want that to be the case. They didn't want it to sound like they were crowning them as magnificent or anything. The title, "Magnificent Seven," originally came from the movie called the same thing where seven bandits coming from seven different walks of life came together for one purpose. I guess it didn't translate and no one saw the connection. If we make the tournament and make a run or something, then we can call them the Magnificent Seven but for now they don't want to do it.

Yea, you've got to be as old as Fumble, Sly, or Scar :oldhag to make the connection, because the movie (1960) actually came out before any of us were even born.

Austin Smith: http://www.libertyflames.com/index.cfm? ... 62&TeamID=

Who comes up with these questions?
Who is the one player on the team that would most likely be a contestant on the Bachelor with 25 women vying for that final rose?
Jesse Sanders. Oh my goodness (chuckling). Jesse is so smooth and would definitely be handing out a few roses in some of the most dramatic rose ceremonies ever.

Some of the questions are kinda goofy but you can pretty much come to one conclusion: Jessie Sanders is a stud with the ladies.

Here's an odd answer though

Jeremy’s (Anderson) house. His mom makes me these little snacks whenever I am over there. Its great!
Isn't Jeremy from Kentucky?

Mom may have moved here. I know the Bakers did. Same with the Frazees on the women's side. Momma Anderson has been at every single game I've been to.

Doesn't Smitty's mom live in the burg too? Seems to be a growing trend.

It actually came out BEFORE Fumble, Sly, or Cider Jim were even born.

It came out a whole quarter-century before I was born.

Incidentally this is a movie that is tailor made for a remake. Casting could be fun. I could easily see Jason Statham in Yul Brenner's role.

For the record, I grew up Spaghetti westerns when the only real options were Elvis and Beach movies on cable.

I think a B Western refers to a lower budget Western, kind of like the Gene Autry Movies...does it not?

The Good, the bad...was a pretty big budget film I would have thought.

Any of the Stranger with No Name films are awesome. I was never a big Bronson fan but anything with Clint or Yul is cool with me.

Nope. It is the classic Italian "spaghetti Western" -- filmed entirely in Italy by an Italian production company and, aside from the core actors, cast with primarily Italian actors. Basically, it was an Italian movie with American stars, dubbed into English. Working budget for the entire movie was just over US$ 1 million, which translates to roughly $8.5 million in today's market.

Big Sergio Leone fan here. One of the greatest movie directors of all time.

3:10 to Yuma was pretty good to me and made me think of the old westerns. The man with no name is one of the best characters in motion picture history though. Those movies were amazing.

Here's Johnny...
You have a very dedicated workout plan. Can you tell us a little about it?
I am in the midst of a program that I will continue until the first game. I am going to make 220 shots a day. It doesn’t matter how late a workout goes, I am going to make my shots after any practice. It doesn’t matter if it’s a conditioning day, I am going to make my buckets. I also jump rope 500 times a day for cardio work.

"Furthermore, the Preacher character arrives riding a pale horse at the same moment that a teenage girl—who had earlier asked help from God—reads from the Bible in Revelation of the fourth horseman of the Apocalypse, Death riding on a pale horse."
