You did Chris. We're all stunned (and happy!)

Now that the euphoria from last night is settled down a bit, I hope the guys realize that VMI is perfectly capable of beating us at the Vines if we let down even a little (witness them giving HP their first home loss last night). I'm proud of what we accomplished against RU, but they are still a better team than we are. They shot 1-22 from 3, and most of them were pretty good looks. I know they are a bad shooting team, but the fact is, nobody is THAT BAD. If they hit 4-22 (still AWFUL) it's probably a different outcome.

Now I've heard it all. I don't know how you can stymie someone who is triple teamed and still gets 26 points and 15 rebounds.

The answer to yesterdays debacle (on my end-triumph on yours), was simple. We (again, forgive me- we to me is RU) had absolutely no perimeter game and Liberty took full advantage of it. Good coaching and gritty play by your guys (McMasters included-he was key) earned Liberty a deserving "W".

Big Art was not stymied in the least, though. Sorry, can't disagree with you more on that one.

Congrats LU.

Can't wait for the rematch!!

I cringed when I saw that headline as well. I don't write them, FWIW.

He did keep the ball away from Big Art in the final eight minutes, which was the point. Art only got three touches, and combined with RU's inability to hit an outside shot, that turned the game.

Stymie was certainly not the correct word choice. Limit for a concise period of time was more like it.

This is the point Lang was making:
Parakhouski, who entered the game averaging 23.5 points and 12.8 rebounds per game, only attempted three shots in the final 9:49
Did BJ write that headline? I'm just asking, because "stimied" sounds like a word used by someone with many years of a college education.

Seriously, though, didn't big Art drop something like 39 points against us last year when Carter was redshirting? And Art only scored 16 points from the field last night, the other 10 points coming from the free throw line.

Art had 39 and 19 in the game at Radford, and he had 22 and 16 in the game at LU. There's no way you can stop him. You can only hope to quiet him for stretches.

So that's why SCAR was at the LU-Radford game?

Crew, not talent. By crew I meant our camera guys.

I was at VT BC yesterday too. I saw a lot of guys from our camera crew down there but I was sitting up too high to say hello. I got a tour of the VT state of the art practice facility too and was blown away. I saw a little of Virgina's practice courts on Monday and I was way more impressed with Tech's. I am sure the other parts I didn't see of UVA was impressive...We went out with Ryan Dowley who is the Tech Video coordinator and he got us all a complimentary meal on the house which was cool. I am still full from all that food. We missed the whole 1st half of the Liberty game though because they took so long to bring us our food. I just finished watching the whole thing on TIVO though. Impressive win for sure. I am glad we caught the second half. Talked to Callander for a bit last night too since it was a big south game he was in the house. Maybe next year he will have me CALL this game instead of be there as a fan? 8) Cider it was great to see you and the other die hard fans there.

I didnt write that headline either...Ive had a few of my headlines changed in editing before it runs in the paper...I actually talked to Chris (Morris, our editor at the fishwrap) about it and he explained to me why that happens.

FYI--I talked with Kyle Kallander last night, too. He will be in on-campus in DeMoss next Saturday handing out the hardware after the BSC Quiz Bowl tournament that LU is hosting.

Silly me. Of course he is KK so I realize I spelled it wrong. Not to be confused with my man KK we have in our Athletic Dept Kevin Keys.

I never thought that I would hear the phrase, "That's unacceptable physicality" at Radford. :D
