"Winthrop always play low scoring. They are a good defensive team and you rarely can work your sets against them. So sometimes you have to just swing it around and find a good look."

About LU making it tough for Winthrop shooters:

Congrats on the win...Sounded like a pretty ugly game. But LU did what you need to do against WU this year...force the Eagles to take outside shots...very rarely this year has WU been able to shoot well enough from outside to hurt teams that do that.

Other than the ongoing foul issues with Austin, I thought we got really good minutes from both him and Tyler. 10 points and 4 rebounds in 18 minutes between them on 4-7 shooting.

I apologize... I should have said that we were only giving about 75% effort overall not the 100%... rushed shots, poor fouls... honestly it could have been a closer game..

As for halftime, the dunk teams back 5, 6 years ago were better... least they would knock a volunteer out and send them to the hospital.. I'll never forget that convo.
