So are you ever going to answer any questions about what your solutions or just lame one liners?
You really don't want to here what I would do. However some are real comics unfortunately lately it has been CSU & Winthrop laughing! Play Basketball
You are so full of :BS its amazing. At least 1/2 dozen people have asked you point blank and all you do is run and hide. If people didn't want to hear what you have to say they wouldn't ask. What is becoming clear is that you just don't HAVE any answers.

Dale Layer needs to go to the school of Tony Bennett and learn how to teach pack line D. Then if we have problems scoring at least we can keep it close. That just might help him keep his job. In all my years never seen a team give up so many easy baskets and open looks from 3.

I would much rather her some real content come from your posts about how to change the future for the better. If I didn't want to hear it I wouldn't keep asking.

The more you avoid this the more you discredit yourself.

Hard to play 'pack line' in the Big South. Too many good shooting teams and your defense has to be big and long at every position to be good at...Liberty is close in every game save CSU, but a lot of teams lost down there. The problem is lack of scoring, but how many times can I beat a dead horse!

I haven't been.

I have seen a basketball game where someone won 0-0, or a baseball game won 0-0....?

Have you guys?? Get a hit, run the base, make shot, hit a free throw....

Miami Heat have the best offensive players! The Final 4 teams usually each have 3 pros, ask any Hm coach. Pros are great at scoring unless they r 7 feet!

You go back to arguing with Lifer and those other non sports minded clowns!

So you are going to the absurd of 0-0 games since your statement that 62 points isn't going to win games in the Big South or any other conference.
But even still if a team wins 1-0 they still held their opponent scoreless while not putting up a whole lot of points either.

My point coach Wooden or PH, Or RD, or Meyer or whoever.... You have to score to win....

Each Big South team has played 9 conference games, 9x12 = 108 total games, correct????

Only 1 game has a team scored 62 or less this season and won that game. 1 out of 108.

Figure it out pal... Get over yourself and let me teach you something, I will help your Upward Team

Your statement was that 62 points wasn't good enough to win games in the BSC. I pointed out it was good enough to win games in the ACC, Big 10, Pac10.
And now you say it IS good enough to win a game in the BSC.
Point being you can win games scoring in the 60's and playing good defense.

I seem to recall my Physical Education Teacher in the 8th grade many years ago telling the class that basketball was an offensive game.

Granted defense is important in any sport, but basketball is more offense game than football or baseball. In football you can win with a strong defense and so-so offense. (see Virginia tech). In baseball you can win a lot of games 1-0 or 2-1.

In basketball you need to score points. LU's weakness is scoring. Flames need more shooters who can put ball in basket, whether it be from 10 feet or 25 feet. Get some guys who can hit the outside shot. This will open up things down low for the "4" and "5" to do their thing inside.

Need to go more up-tempo, instead of milking shot clock hoping for a layup.

The Flames dont have 1 guy that go make a play for himself at the end of shot clock or game.... when the game is tied and no plays will work, whose going to go get a basket??? whose the break you down type player every other team has?? JC tries to.

The fact that Davon Marshall only got off 6 shots is ridiculous, whose fault is that?? whats a coaching staff for?? I hate to be critical but dang.

But they played good defense, right PH???

flames dont need more shooters..if anything they have too many..shooters are typically guys who can not break defenders down and cant get shots by themselves..which is exactly what we dont have..for shooters we have plenty..davon, JC, roberts, layer etc etc...we need athletes that can get their shots off by themselves..its been a problem for many years..we need a larry blair type of player

That's what I meant by shooters, guys who can create their own shot even when guarded.

In the games I have seen over the past couple seasons, that came down to one shot, the only play we have is JC driving down the middle of the court hoping to make a layup or draw a foul

There is a difference between Shooters and Scorers. Donley is a shooter, but not a scorer. I'm using him as an example, I'm not even sure he is a D1 level player.

And there is probably a reason why an 8th grade coach was telling you offense wins games.

Schools like Wisconsin, Syracuse, Michigan State and Miami to name a few have won several low scoring games this year and over the years. I'm a huge fan of Syracuse's defense, because that's how they generate their offense. It makes them flexible enough to win games regardless of tempo.

so do we need shooters or athletes who can create for themselves and others? I'm confused. I am sure the ol' ball coach will figure it out

Some of you must have been Denver fans, how did their offense work out?

This administration and staff has squandered budgets and time. This is D1 basketball...go get some players. Tony Bennett is better because they now have 6-8 players who can really play. LU has had one coach in MBB who has proven he can consistently land the talent to put some at top of BSC.

If you arent going to answer questions then stop bringing yourself up (Jeff Meyer). You won 1 championship and the rest of the teams underachieved. Also I believe some of your assistants get credit for recruiting as well from what I can remember Larry Blair was a Chuck Martin recruit. You are funny seriously..Coach Dunton get over it man..i know this is you.
