If the Flames win one of their final four games, they’ll join the 1991-92 and 1996-97 teams as the only 20-game winners in LU’s Division I history.http://www.newsadvance.com/lna/sports/c ... own/13477/

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — Charleston Southern’s punch was swift, 11 points in a minute and 10 seconds that erased a deficit and sent a signal that the Buccaneers weren’t ready to let Liberty run away with Saturday’s game at the CSU Field House.
The counter-punch, though, was devastating, four straight 3-pointers that sent another signal, that this wasn’t the same young Flames team that would wilt at the first sign of adversity on the road. Instead, Liberty rose to the challenge, made a couple of critical defensive stops and took control. The Flames’ 95-80 victory gave coach Ritchie McKay his 200th career win, put Liberty on the brink of its first 20-win season in more than a decade, and kept Liberty in the hunt for the conference’s regular-season title.

Liberty played as if the CSU Fieldhouse was its home court, scorching the nets and connecting on 15 3-pointers to beat Charleston Southern, 95-80, in Big South Conference basketball action on Saturday night.
Freshman Seth Curry led Liberty (19-8, 10-5 Big South) with 28 points. Anthony Smith added 24 points, including six 3-pointers and junior Kyle Ohman scored 23 points, hitting five 3-pointers.
"They're a tough team to guard and it shows the value of having so many scorers on the floor at one time," said CSU head coach Barclay Radebaugh. "I thought our effort was tremendous, but we're down to eight guys and four of those are post players. We basically had four guards chasing those guys around all night and we just couldn't keep up."
