A Sea Of Red

So basically - we picked up another Cleveland and a smaller Preston... We have our fill of mid-sized white guys....

The only bright side I could find based on his limited stats is that he was 4 for 11 from deep which is better than the combined 1 for 24 that we got from Spell, Cleveland and Preston. Could we be looking at the next Kyle Rode?!

Zander’s dad, Jon Yates played his basketball at Liberty from 1989-91. Zander is a forward that can stretch the floor and provide three-point shooting for the Flames.

Don’t understand this at all.

I don't know enough about Zander to make this legitimate comparison, but it seems like a similar circumstance to Scottie James. Scottie played a year at a bigger program, didn't do much of anything in his year there, came to LU because of his parents, and became one of the better bigs we've ever had.

I'm not saying this kid is the next Scottie James, but Creighton is a premier program, ranked as high as #7 in the country this year, so maybe this kid has some potential.

I think we are going to need Yu. We need a bigger C than Shiloh for some matchups. Have to be Yu or Spell.

I'd love for Yu to be up to speed with out system, but my wonder/concern is being able to combine American culture and language along with the pack line. I'd love for him to surprise me.

IMO, Peebles and Spell are the guys we are really going to need to step up next season.

I like the Yates pick up. I think he has more potential then what LU currently has in that spot.

I hope you're right about Yates. Never say never. And nice place to land for those with enough determination to make that happen, at some stage. Kyle Ohman immediately comes to mind. And most of our lower roster guys transfer on to lesser things, it would seem. Opportunities are often transitory, and may be in limited windows, but they certainly abound here. Great culture.

I see that Will Shavers has decommitted from Belmont.

Looks like Isaiah Warfield signed with Howard University on 4/29.
