No, it's more like:

Brown = Baker

Baird = Baker.

Sommy isn't taking Konan's role, he is competing for time in the post with Antwan

Antwan + Sommy + Carter & JVP > Just Antwan + Carter + JVP

Brown >>>>>>>>>> Konan

Chene > Stephene Are you kidding me with the "only because he has more eligibility" business? Johnny couldn't get on the court.

JC > Perez???? I think he will be. I liked Perez better than most

Who cares if Weaver is better than Woods? Neither play.
I retract my argument. I had a momentary brain fart and forgot John Brown was a new comer :oops:

Kid's a stud and definitely pushes the newcomers, as a whole, over the guys who left.

Baker could have been good if he stayed healthy big if...its like saying if HTSNBN stayed he would be a big contributor.
That's not the point. Injury's happen, but his upside was huge!! Not many 6-9 guards out there. Seth was that type of player too (He belongs where he is now and Liberty will be mentioned 30,000 times this year on National TV). Evan is that type of player. The Sanders could be in that category too. But that's where it stops...

Don't want to write of Baird yet, but from what I'm hearing and him sitting out a year - doesn't sound like the guys coming in next year as a guaranteed starter.

proto, are you honestly under the illusion that even a 100% healthy Tyler Baker could have played guard? Even TBGBG never claimed that. He said he would eventually play the 3, which personally I did not see either. There is no way Tyler was quick enough to defend D1 guards, and his ball handling skills weren't that great either.

I guess I'm seeing more upside in JB and Sommy than you (but I realize that's just my opinion) I've also been pleasantly surprised with David this year.

Why can't he be both....I mean the only downside we see with brown is he isn't around long enough

Love what Brown does for us - just hope the team around him can max out talent by next year.

ABSOLUTLY. I have played with a lot of college players over my lifetime and Tyler was plenty fast (The guy's 6-9 - you can be a little slower when the guys you are covering are 6" or more shorter) and could handle the ball fine. I play with him twice a week - and would argue, if he had eligibility left - would be getting some good playing time.

If Baker could play the 3 at 6'9", couldn't Carter play the 3 at 6'11"? :shock:

Don't get me started here... He already tries to play the 3 when he supposed to be playing Center. If you think Carter can handle the ball - you would have to compare Baker to Chris Paul.
