first of all 12-15 of dunton's road games have been guarantee games. so getting a big check to play a high major. secondly in d1 the home team wins 80% of the time. so when dunton went 8-8 on the road in league yr 2and 3 that was super. also he played home and home with miami, odu, ark st and utc. has put us in awesome tournaments as well. your
contiual castigating is wrong. you make ridiculous statements like talent has never been a problem. generalizations so you can criticize when you were on the inside to see what a player or players were doing to contribute to execution or the lack of. the man has us moving in a positive direction sorry if some of your perceived talents didn't get it done. go build sometihing with your life then you will have some crediblity to constantly blast a man who has achieved championships at every level.

We have never had a season where are team lacked talent, some years more than others. I love the maturity of this guy...more people like him and liberty might win everything...wow, you obviously haven't followed LU basketball for more than one season.

And when did Dunton win a national championship, nba title, coach for a world championship. You should learn more before insulting my posts, and do something with your first semester at LU.

Well what he meant was Championships at every level he has coached... and lets be honest, with Coach D or Coach K Liberty is not going to the national championship game... Secondly, last year, what talent did we have? LB, and, ummm LB, and when he wasnt playing well we could always go to LB... We have never had a team with less problems on and off the court than with this team, and with great talent, and with Coach D we are winning. I wont go as far as to say this is the best squad we have EVER had, but i will say 5-1 is the best start in the Dunton Era... and sure you could say well thats Dunton, but a 5-1 start is AMAZING no matter the team or coach. Sure we played some crap teams, BUT we handled things, none of them were close, and we did things like we needed to. and i know you will come with we lost to a DII team in exhibition, and thats right, but we were still finding lineups that worked and our freshmen were no where near ready. So he is right about everything he said, and if we had some positive feedback when we do well, we will do nothing but get better. I dont know any other way to explain it, but we are good, Dunton appears to be a good coach winning games and bringing in talent, and we have a hard working positive squad who can still go out and play hard even though they get bashed on flame fans and try to turn haters to believers when they read this.

A blanket response:
There ARE those of us on the board that know what it takes to run a program. I am glad our staff is working hard, but so is every other staff in the country.
5 - 1 is impressive. But those who are underwhelmed say 3 of those came agains Cincy Xian, Houghton and SVC, all non D1's. Sort of can take the luster off.
Some (dare I say most) of us called "haters" DO support the LU athletics either by attendance or finances.
The Bush/LU/AMerica anaolgy is awful. For starters, the board of trustee's does not have the power that congress has. JF would be the benevolent dictator. But you do hit on the KEY mindset of some of the "KoolAiders" That is criticism equates to being a traitor. There is no room to criticize RD, or else you get the LUREAL ghestop claiming you are a dingbat, others saying you are lazy, and RD telling Jesus on you, claims of ignorance and generally being talked down too. See any similarities to your defense of "W"?
