Either way last night it was just nice to see Liberty win a game convincibly against a D-I opponent. The close to complete turnaround from last year has been great to watch, and apparently the Brew Crew is going to be even better than we are now. What a difference a year makes!

Well said...I posted in the other thread our 127 RPI ranking right now, which puts us at 2 in the BS...I understand it's early but thats still the highest we've been at in a while and that's B.D.B. (Before D Brew) or B.B.C. (Before Brew Crew)

Frankly, that RPI means nothing. Although we have shown improvement, there is no way we are #127 in the country. Our record for the RPI is 2-1 since I believe they do not factor non-D1 games in. When we won the BSC our RPI was 164.

Actually, we were 12-29 on the road, excluding last year and including non-conference games. Last year we were 0-15. Even when we won the BSC in 04 we were 4-4 on the road in conference. I hope we can find a way to pull some road wins out.

Well there is a big difference between 8-8 and 12-29. I wonder if that is an 8-8 BSc record

Our road record has never been that good. I think we can win some, I will only be satisfied with 24 wins. This team which I have posted before has more talent (which has never been a problem) than the championship team....So if we don't win, it is a failure despite last seasons poor turnout. .500 on the road is okay when you do undefeated at home, but we have never done that

contiual castigating is wrong. you make ridiculous statements like talent has never been a problem. generalizations so you can criticize when you were on the inside to see what a player or players were doing to contribute to execution or the lack of. the man has us moving in a positive direction sorry if some of your perceived talents didn't get it done. go build sometihing with your life then you will have some crediblity to constantly blast a man who has achieved championships at every level.

Well what he meant was Championships at every level he has coached... and lets be honest, with Coach D or Coach K Liberty is not going to the national championship game... Secondly, last year, what talent did we have? LB, and, ummm LB, and when he wasnt playing well we could always go to LB... We have never had a team with less problems on and off the court than with this team, and with great talent, and with Coach D we are winning. I wont go as far as to say this is the best squad we have EVER had, but i will say 5-1 is the best start in the Dunton Era... and sure you could say well thats Dunton, but a 5-1 start is AMAZING no matter the team or coach. Sure we played some crap teams, BUT we handled things, none of them were close, and we did things like we needed to. and i know you will come with we lost to a DII team in exhibition, and thats right, but we were still finding lineups that worked and our freshmen were no where near ready. So he is right about everything he said, and if we had some positive feedback when we do well, we will do nothing but get better. I dont know any other way to explain it, but we are good, Dunton appears to be a good coach winning games and bringing in talent, and we have a hard working positive squad who can still go out and play hard even though they get bashed on flame fans and try to turn haters to believers when they read this.

You know what, I am sick of hearing a bunch of crap on here about the team not being good or the coaching staff not being good enough. I rarely post on here, and normally just see what the masses are saying but I personally am around these guys every day. Most of you haters have no idea what it takes to run a team, much less an entire program. The coaches and the staff put in, on a normal week, probably 60 hours of work. There are times when the staff stays after a game for 3 or 4 hours breaking down film. And that happens after we WIN! Say what you want about the talent on the team, or the quality of schedule we play. But the truth of the matter is this, we have never had a team with more talent or a harder schedule than we have this year. Every single member of the staff gives everything they have for the program. Many times neglecting their friends and families and shunning any existence of a social life so you guys can come on here and run your mouths. I'll tell you what, why dont you haters come into the office one monday morning and you can shadow the coaches for a week. Everyday you can stay by our sides as we are in the office in the morning, plan practice, go to film, prepare for games, stay late to help guys with their shooting, get in lifting sessions, and sure what the heck let's play a game or two. Shoot we'll let you suit for practice so you can see what the players go through. On their day off, they are in the gym shooting so that you can have something to be proud of. Stop hating, and start supporting. Have you haters bought a Faith in the Furnace shirt yet? Or do not support the team enough to buy a $5 shirt and memorize the same scriptures the team is memorizing. I have never seen a group of guys dedicated to giving their best on a daily basis the way the coaching staff and players have done this year. I am proud to be a Flame, and it is pathetic that you haters can come on here and anonymously say you're a fan or that you support the program when everything you guys say quite clearly says the opposite. That's all I have to say, and if you're interested in my offer...come see me, but I highly doubt any of you have the guts to actually show your face and stand up to the trash you talk on a forum.

It spun out of control from there. Everyone else has been saying that the wins were great and that the team is playing good basketball right now.
