Overall Reaction to Night
The big goal of this group is the ability to supersede our understanding right now. I was really happy with how we played defense in the first half. Its too bad we didn't take advantage of the opportunities. I thought we loosened up in the second half. But we just need to work on rebounding better but we're going to keep giving Russ & Armon a shot to go along with Rell & Alex.
About Alex McLean
He had 13 and 8, that's a solid night for him. But give those guys over there some credit because Longar Longar had one of the best nights of his career. We need to focus on not giving these guys great position. Its a great night for us to build on. We'll go home and work on things that need improvement.
About Larry's 1-for-10 in 1st Half
Even in that first half, I told him at half we gave him ten shots. He had some good looks and didn't get any calls on some plays. Anthony has got to grow up and alleviate some of the pressure on Larry. I did think Damien Hubbard had a great first half. We had a lot of defensive pressure to build on.
Heading Home for 3 Games
I don't think everybody realizes how long it takes for all these guys to get together. Right now for Liberty, its about staying positive. We need to go home and improve on things. I think the fans are going to appreciate our athleticism and our toughness. I look forward to those three games at home. I think you'll see an inward intensity from these guys. They stepped on the floor thinking they could win tonight. But now we need to execute to that mindset. I'm really excited about young guys. I see a lot of potential but we'll have to be patient. But things are on the up and up.
