If you are looking for the info google the Lynchburg Circuit Court, a couple clicks later you will find what you are looking for.
I have to say I am disappointed in my former University this evening. What kind of message are we sending allowing him to remain on the sidelines? If you were a parent of one of this programs recruits how would you feel knowing a convicted felon or at least a plea deal guilty felon was on the sideline.
You can slice this thing anyway you want with whatever spin you choose, but the fact is he plead guilty to a felony. You do not accidentally become a felon as some would like to suggest, seeking some silver lining in a sad situation here. In many careers with far less public attention a situation such as this would cost you your job, but not in this case, at LU?
My heart goes out to this guy and I wish for his recovery through this time, but this is not right. I personally knew many students whose education at LU was cut short because they were at a party where someone was smoking a joint, or they were themselves. No convictions there, no court system, no black eye for the "Front Porch of The University" athletic department, but still no grace or mercy shown by the administration who at the time was unwilling to extend much more than a refund for their room and board for the duration of the semester if they were lucky.
This situation was handled in a bush league fashion thus far, this is not the TRBC Softball team this guy is coaching, this is D1 athletics. Get it together down there.
