Yeah, that's the score I got on foxsports' cell phone service, but I just checked CSU's livestats, and they have CSU winning by 1 (and Yahoo has that same score).

While I think it is GREAT for the city of Asheville and obviously great for UNCA -- especially if they can make it to the finals, to host...However, I can't imagine the Big South is very happy with the possibility of ESPN coming in and televising a game from Justice Center. With the new gym 2 years away its great pub for Asheville, but can't look good for the Big South as a whole.

No way does Coastal beat High Point, if Amir Johnson stays out of foul trouble and Lynch-Flohr can play like he did against Ace, I could see Radford upsetting Winthrop. It's not probable, but possible - anything is in conference tournaments. I wish they would do the tournament in Roanoke or somewhere neutral like they did back in the day.

Good point. For the good of the Big South, we'll try to take that out of the equation on Thursday.

If RU takes down 'throp, you better keep WEF and REALIST away from anything taller than a 1-story building.

No- on second thought- its WUPIKE we need to worry about .

The real question is: Are the Spurs going to the Final 4 in division 1 hockey?

This year's tournament should be great... some very good matchups. I can't express how much I wish the tournament was in one building so that I could watch the whole thing. I wish the BS would go back to one site. Even if it is at the regular season champ... it would be nice as a fan to be able to see all the games.

Plus... what happens if UNCA gets to the title game... I know LU can't match up with them in a final but imagine if they did... there would be 1000's of people turned away because of the size of their barn.

It's a shame the league can't support having it in a central location in a decent (but not huge) sized building.

Was a failure in Anderson, SC and N. Charleston, was a failure in Roanoke, only did well in Asheville at the Civic Center b/c of Winthrop crowds in first year and UNCA vs WU in finals in year two...and even then, was poorly attended. I think the overall best crowds were the years it was in the Vines.

Charlotte would seem logical... I just hate the playoff type format... I realize the BS isn't the ACC but it stinks as a fan to not be able to see all the games. Plus there are too many schools that have gyms that look aweful on TV and would have to turn away fans. No offense to UNCA but having the men's and women's tournament there is a joke. High School regional tournaments are held at better facilities.

Make it where only schools with true arenas can host (Liberty, Winthrop, VMI, Radford). The highest finishing team of those four hosts. Tell the other schools to up their seating to 4000 and they can get in the game as well. If they can definitely lock down a civic center nearby (Coastal, CSU, Asheville) then they can be in it as well. There's no way that Asheville, CSU, CCU, and HPU should be able to host.
