I don't even know if i can follow where this thread was going, but i'll add my two cents as a fan of an opposing team....

LB probably won't ever see the NBA, and he never had a great shooting percentage, but I knew that he was always capable of putting the Flames on his back (no matter how good his supporting cast was) and single-handedly win games. He did it against Winthrop his junior year. Nothing that WU tried to do could stop him. He was a playmaker and had the ability to put points on the board in a hurry. He was a great player for LU and I had a ton of respect for him as a player...he's definitely in the top 5 best players I've seen in the Big South in the 11 years I've been around it.

"Ditto" on what WEF said. Blair was as good as it gets as far as I can tell. I think he avg. 40 a game vs HPU. He was a class act and exciting to watch.

Yeah, Blair was pretty incredible. Part of me still wishes he had a good supporting cast at some point in his career (or at least one other than his freshman year). He could have had some monster games, but also he probably could have improved other areas of his game if he didn't have to shoulder so much of the scoring load. When he got hot, he really couldn't be stopped, he was easily the one guy in the conference that could go off regardless of double teams or defensive intensity on him.

Will he play in the NBA? Extremely doubtful. As good as he is, the guys at his height in the NBA are just on another plane. I watched Boykins a month ago and that guy is insane. Blair will no doubt make some money playing somewhere though.

I thought Larry Blair did pretty well. He scored 26 of Liberty's 51 points against Kentucky in the 05-06 season when UK was ranked somewhere in the top 25. That's a pretty darn good point total, especially against such a defensive minded team like the Wildcats.

And especially when he's the only one they really had to worry about.

So how come we aren't giving any props to the "other" savior DB? ANyone know what he is up to? And just for grins and giggles what were TB's stats this year against Oklahoma, Florida, Cedarville?

Go to ESPN's Draft Site and look up the top 100 players in the Draft. LB Just so happens to be in the top 100 at number 88

Well, not surprisingly LB didn't get drafted, but then neither did Bradshaw or Martin. I'm kind of surprised someone in the late 2nd round didn't grab Bradshaw rather than some of the Euros who were picked who are under contract and won't even be available for a year or more.

The pushup thing is a good target for jokes, and obviously doesn't translate directly to the court, but if he puts up some numbers in Europe in the next couple of years teams looking at him will see that and it will tell them he is tough and super fit and has excellent upper body strength for his size.

I think Bradshaw was the only one who ever had a legitimate shot at being drafted, but from what I can tell he didn't perform that well in his workouts for the teams that brought him in. He didn't shoot well in the workouts and he's prone to being hot/cold. It seems he gets on for a few weeks and nails everything and then will go cold for weeks. They worked him out in a cold spell and that negated his biggest selling point---a big guy that can shoot. He'll have to develop some more consistency.

I know Martin and Bradshaw will play in the summer league and I bet Blair will too---and most likely still have a shot to make a team.

All indications are yes. Maybe she can convince Larry to join the other "legends" on the board.
