Right, we've seen him perform so we know he'll be good. But every post about something with the basketball team is followed by the Kool-Aid drinker's creed: Wait til Brew.

I think what most of "us" are saying is, wait until judging this team (and the coach) until Brew gets fully in the mix. That will be about big south games time. By the way, can we put a "Countdown to Brew" clock on the top??

I have said all along I won't make a judgement on the team until he gets here.


We can put a Countdown to Brew thing up as long as everyone else shuts up about it every 5 seconds.

Sounds like our Paul Troth Heisman hype when he signed out of high school. You think I'm joking but our football was in the top 25 at the time when he signed and he was an elite 11/All American QB. I think everyone envisioned greatness for him and the program and I don't think things could have worked out any more the opposite than expectations.

According to a post on mingesmaniacs.com they're expecting 50-100 ECU fans/students to make the trip to the Burg. It's important we get the student body there and to be loud to have some homecourt advantage. Most of us remember the VMI game a few years ago.

Not bad indeed. It reminded me that Stokes is your coach (that had slipped my memory banks for some reason). I chatted with him a few times when he was an ssistant to Barnes at Texas. He is classy man and I have feeling he'll hav the Purates contending in CUSA rather quickly. The man can flat out recruit. He had a lot to do with Texas becoming the program it has become.

Not bad indeed. It reminded me that Stokes is your coach (that had slipped my memory banks for some reason). I chatted with him a few times when he was an ssistant to Barnes at Texas. He is classy man and I have feeling he'll hav the Purates contending in CUSA rather quickly. The man can flat out recruit. He had a lot to do with Texas becoming the program it has become.

Lots of fans were not very excited about the hire because he didn't get it done at Virginia Tech (ECU under the old coach beat him), but I actually really like Stokes, and it's hard to question Terry Holland's basketball knowledge IMO Plus Stokes has really good assistands behind him like Mack McCarthy who was a head coach at VCU and lead Chattanooga to the Sweet 16.
