Of all these names being tossed about, I have never heard of 99% of them.

We have made good hires in football, baseball and softball. When we make a change in basketball I think JB will make a good one.

Come on Flame - Marinelli just said he wasn't leaving the Cowboys... Why would he come here? You're wasting our time!!!! Bring good stuff here, stuff that could happen.

Unfortunately, Rick Majerus is no longer with us and I don't feel I'm qualified!

Did you not read the novel? So the answer would be No

He's a smart guy, coaching on one of the better staffs in the A-Sun, and that entire staff regularly references the Word. I've not seen much of his testimony, but you want a young, innovative guy with proven success who is at least a believer, no?

Yes.

If we're looking for a "good fit," few fit that better than he does. SEU is what LU was 30 years ago.

They were in the final four last season and are 10-5 this season, despite losing their top two players.

I don't know him or anyone at USC-Upstate so I'm just going off of what I can find online, which is very little. As a coach, he seems intelligent and hardworking with a lot of potential.

If you ever get the chance, read up on their HC Eddie Payne. The only current D-1 coach to have coached at every collegiate level (D-1, D-2, D-3, NAIA, JC). A class act and a coaching legend. Perry will be a solid HC in time, but his first gig as a HC at a school like LU might be a bit too much.

Entering this year he lost 2 players who combined for 37ppg to graduation, one of them a first team D2 All American. All they have done is go 14-0. One potential problem. He recently won the Red Auerbach award, which goes to the top Jewish coach in America for all sports. Now I'm pretty sure any coach of Jewish heritage is eligible for the award, but if he is a practicing Jew? As big as Doc was on supporting God's chosen people, I'm not sure we can go there.
An HBCU with a Jewish coach? Wow, what a combo
Lincoln Mem is not an HBCU- You might be thinking of Lincoln University, which is.

He left under less than ideal circumstances, so I don't think JB would want to deal with the PR hit that would come with it. ESPECIALLY with the need for continued positive momentum in light of football and baseball
