I'm not turning on the team..the rest of the team played hard...shots just haven't fallen...there is only one thing you have control over as a player and that is how hard you play...evan has not even attempted to play hard this game and really the majority of the games this season that has been the case if his shot isn't falling

their coach looks like a college kid that has had too much to drink getting ready to storm the court...I don't mind being excited for your team...but you're a coach, act like it

Dude. We fouled every player on the court and the refs didn't call anything. They walked down the court and hit a layup. I don't fault our guys for that. The game would have been completely different had the refs not blown it there.

that is absolute garbage...another black eye on this basketball program. Yet another example of why it's so hard to be a fan of this basketball program. Whenever you need a big upset in the big south tourney, come to the Vines where we will lay down for you.

on to next year.

as i said i hope Layer finds a Sharp shooter. Sorry I like JA but he's off more to often

and a Juco guard/wing to add some veteran impact ala another JB hopefully

w/ the additions of Gielo, Smith and Baird they should be alot better can't wait

Honestly, I'd say our biggest need is an inside presence. I know that is hard to come by in the Big South, but something has to be done. Once again, I suggest that JPV spends the next 6 months with Wild Bill and the football team. That would make a difference.

can we ask for a trade with Duke... we will send them Evan and a player to be decided later for Seth back

for real though. there is no way Evan should even be in the discussion as a starter next year... and Layer should strongly consider if Evan should even be on the bench

I'd love for him to develop into that role. That's the ideal situation. He's coming off a senior year in high school where he didn't play much and it took him a while to adjust to the college game. Hopefully things slow down and he makes the leap next year. He has the genes for it.

no...what im hoping is Layer getting juco slasher 2 guard kind of player like Buggs (gardner-webb), Holloway (CCU), Shine (HPU), etc... I feel Jesse is the only one that drives or at times the only one that is able to get to the freethrow line.

First of all, I just got back. Pretty emotional and heartbroken. Hopefully I won't say anything too outragous.

I just don't get it. Not only as a basketball fan, but all our sports. It's like we take 15 steps forward... just to take 25 in the opposite direction. Every time we have the chance to believe we can be good at something, every time we're given hope, we fail. I just don't understand it. Once everything comes together... it falls apart in our hands. You can sit here and tell me, "oh 19-14 is a great season" That's :BS . Sure it's better than what we usually do, but the fact that 50 High Point fans came into the VInes and were CONSTANTLY more louder than the 2,000 LU fans.

Oh the the students. Only about 1500 showed up (if that). What the world (i wanna say something else)? Do you even care? Obviously not.

So not even listening to the Beatles and the first album of Maylene & the Sons of Disaster can even cheer me up at this point. Why even play the regular season when we buckle every time? Having it happen once is one thing. Having it be a repetitive pattern is another.

The refs sucked. I'm interested in what you referee homers here have to say about that. It looks like High Point made a halftime donation to the officiating crew. But, all that aside, that's not the reason we lost.

Another thing. Did HPU dress every girl in their school as a cheerleader?

BJ, I get annoyed when people don't have faith in their team too. But you do know, and you might even agree, things like this is why.

Devastating lost. Maybe JB needs to be examined. 4 years of inflated budgets, over rated talent and nothing to show.

I am sure the JB :koolaid drinkers with rush to his defense. I will still be here for years to come watching Jerry Jr continue to spend our way into mediocrity until he gets tired of funding a fake tan.

Maybe he should transfer to Tech?
