I usually carry an extra ticket with me, since Mrs. Cider seldom goes. Let me know.

Just get CJ or someone to buy you season tickets, they can get them for $2 a game! That's a bargain!

I operate on a graduate assistant salary, which basically means significantly below the poverty line, so price is important to me on everything.

Seth Curry is now a freshman at Liberty (#30 in the above photo, if you haven't figured it out already) in the mighty Big South conference, the home of March Madness bracket busters Winthrop and Coastal Carolina. And, don't look now, but the Liberty Flames are 5-1 with wins over Virginia, George Mason, and William and Mary, and their leading scorer is one S. Curry with 22 ppg.

Yes Coastal is historically a bracket buster.... and the Big South is "not even a mid-major". They let anybody have a blog these days.

Yeah your free ticket court side last night was impressive as well. The camera caught you running onto the court after curry broke that kids ankle and hit a 3. Watch that on your DVR.

I meant to post about that this AM- jumped on this thread to do so and saw ROCKET's post.

Curry's jumper is good, camera pans back for wide shot, there goes some whack job, looking like he just stepped outta the Abercrombie & Fitch catalog, losing his MIND and jumping onto the court.

Hysterical

originally posted in another thread- makes more sense here:
PAmedic wrote:Amazing, too- that even with a relatively quiet game, Curry managed to get his 22. The kid is just amazing.

Could be wrong, but I think Ohman led us in scoring for the majority of the game- at least until the last 10 minutes or so.

I don't think any of us would have done any different. I about jumped through my TV.

I was holding a baby at the time. That limited my celebration- both of us were very impressed, though. 8)

I'd just like to point something else out.

Most college freshmen have been 18 for a while and are looking at turning 19 fairly soon.

Seth turned 18 in August. He's the age of most high school seniors.

hahaha..I kept asking him why is he going to the hole when Curry's stepping back....you should have heard the officials talking to some of the guys on that row...it blew my mind...I mean it's like they had a 2 hour long conversation about sports

Notable performance from Monday: Seth Curry -- younger brother of Stephen Curry -- sank a jumpshot and two free throws in the final 41 seconds of overtime to help Liberty come from behind and beat George Mason 69-66. The freshman guard finished with 22 points, six rebounds and three assists. He is now averaging 22.0 points through six games, or 7.2 fewer than his big brother.

JUST 24 MINUTES AGO!!!!

http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=23971

Chat with Andy Katz:

Steiny (NYC): Who is the best freshman in the Nation?

Andy Katz: I was going to say Samardo Samuels prior to him being held in check by Western Kentucky. But I still may go there overall. But check out what Seth Curry is doing at Liberty. He may end up with the best freshman numbers. At the end of the season I'll say Samuels will have the most impact, followed by Kemba Walker, DeMar DeRozan and Tyreke Evans (and Seth Curry if Liberty makes the NCAAs).

Seriously, the amount of press we are going to get from him in the next few years will be unmatched to what we've ever seen for athletics.

Are you ready to have to really worry about parking and finding a seat at a game? This, correction...these kids will pack out the vines before it's all said and done...maybe that lottery software for students that the Athletic Department bought will be used sooner then they thought

Friends seats, no worries! They bought a lottery system for when the attendance gets higher and higher...I dont think it's needed for a few more years though but I was thinking 5 years way...we may only be 1 or 2

I have seen the vines filled and just pure electricity but nothing IMO matches what JJ Redick did in the High School State finals...that place went nuts and cameron crazies were there...it was so loud...I had to pull a folding chair out at the top of the vines and sat with our then basketball coach b/c there were NO seats...it's going to be that way again here soon

While JJ's performance was 1 on my list of best individual performances Curry's last week is without a doubt on the list

It's waaay to early to talk about a lottery system but as long as our freshman start to get some notice, the big networks may come calling. You start floating around "ESPN" and students will come out in masses.

It's officially "old-hag" material but the Big South Champ. game in '04 shows you just how tough a place the Vines is to play in when it's rocking.
