Thanks for catching that for us, WEF.

Here is the original thread we had on Jeremy when he was just a prospect. He apparently is only the second player to make five consecutive trips to state final four in Kentucky history.

I guess this means our Nigerian friend is now a definite no go or the staff believes we will lose at least one player to attrition this summer.

Five trips? Is high school longer nowadays? Or am I just missing something?

He probably played varsity as an 8th grader.

It depends on the school system.

Jeremy Monceaux played for his dad for 5 years in Alabama and scored an incredible 6000 points in HS. Some places allow it some don't. Had a friend named Carlin Worley that played at Philmont, Medic will recognize the name of the school as well as the player I’m sure. Carlin was 6-8 in the 8th grade and would have been POY in the league if it wasn’t for the kid from Cedar Grove that went on to Liberty U (that’s me in case some of you like GMTM are a little slow). His brother was in 9th grade and his name was Jason. The Worley brothers transferred to public school and won 2 or 3 city championships in a row before both enrolling at St Joes. Carlin was also an assistant there when I was coaching at LU. He and Jelly Bean Joe Bryant at LaSalle were good contacts to have for me back then if I ever wanted to pursue coaching back in Philly. I don’t think you could play in 8th grade in the public school system in Philly. It is usually when you have a school that has 1-12 grade or at least 7-12 like a lot of Private schools.

• Jeremy Anderson, who played in five consecutive state tournaments for Warren Central and is the school's all-time leading scorer, will sign with Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., next week. Liberty recently hired Ritchie McKay as its new head coach. He was previously at New Mexico.
