Well, since you're so into statistics. Ed gave 4 examples that span over 50 years of 300+ teams. It doesn't take Prof. Moon to tell you that the odds of that happening aren't very likely. You're litterally holding Duton accountable for not landing a Larry Bird equivolant.
I'll even give you better odds. I'll say that there's 1 team per year like you described (even though, there is not). There is not a very good chance of that guy being on your team. But, like I said twice before, this is a subjective discussion and I have my opinion based on what I've observed over the years.
