I know it has been tough for many of you on this board doing without my charm and wisdom for the last few months so I have decided to cease my boycott of Liberty athletics and speak once more to my fans and friends.
Seriously, I have probably just had the wildest two or three months of my life. That said, can you ever remember a year so disappointing in terms of our men's sports? I know the MBB team is very young, but I must say I am disappointed in the results. I am squarely in the Dunton camp - but it is time to get some players in and win a few games. I feel like this year we took a step back big time. We aren't even competitve in the BSC - much less D-I top 50 schools. I'll check the board for recruiting updates when I start catching up - but I hope to see some great news on the recruiting front because from what I have heard and seen to date - we are short on talent big time.
Next - I am pleased with what Rocco has done so far. I have heard good things about him from people back home. I haven't taken a bath since he was hired - I did this to show my displeasure of the hiring to the world. But I did go out and buy some soap last week and shampoo last night. If I keep hearing the positives, I may buy a razor and turn the water on. I like getting Jennings and Stevie Ray. i think Jennings and Zach will be a great one to punch. Thrilled we have a QB coming back. I like our LB's. I think we'll be much improved. But I'm not sipping the KoolAid just yet. If Rocco could have convinced Marcus Vick to transfer to Liberty then I would be wearing the black sweatsuit and Nikes waiting for the Rocco mothership to take me home. But not just yet.
Which brings me to my final point. Anyone remember 1988? We had a great coach named Morgan Hout and.....
