You're counting Dawson, Fields, and Cabbil?

Homesley had 5 D1 scholarship offers, including Kent State and App State. http://www.liberty.edu/flames/index.cfm ... erID=10263
Ezra also had 5 or 6 D1 offers. http://www.liberty.edu/flames/index.cfm ... erID=10069

Hey gang! Long time no see, I was at the game yesterday (For those of you who don't know, I accepted an Asst. AD position at Seton Hall back in September, miss the mountain and hope you all are doing well), and it was my first time getting to see this team in person. This look of this team is literally exactly how I thought it would be this year.

They are young, inexperienced, learning a new system and it definitely shows. But, you know what impressed me? Despite the fact that this year has been pretty rough, these guys are bought in. They are supportive of one another, talk to each other A LOT, and celebrate the little things (bench erupts for good defensive rotation, forcing the ball back out). You don't really get that watching the games on TV and to be honest is really what I wanted to see yesterday. Dawson getting into foul trouble really was the difference late, but they'll get it. It's frustrating because it was winnable but eventually they'll find ways to win these games, especially with more DI caliber talent.

Better include Maxwell on that list. He is having lots of success with one basic move. If he can learn a right drop step move, look out!

Maxwell is beast now, but according to his profile, no other scholarship offers are listed. http://www.liberty.edu/flames/index.cfm ... erID=10065

And I believe even Hansel was offered a D1 scholarship by the mighty Thundering Herd of Marshall University, a C-USA team.

I think it is more than 3 legit D1 players. Maxwell, Dawson, and Cabbil are clearly the most productive and D1 ready right now. I think that by "legit" that is what he means. Obviously many had other D1 offers. However a few offers doesn't necessarily translate into being able to play at the D1 level, especially as a freshman or sophomore.

These players are young so the jury is still out. Some may have been better suited at a lower level but most of them need development to compete against D1 guys. Most likely, the new staff will recruit over these current players but I still feel that many will be able to contribute as role players down the road. Development will happen under this staff and one of these guys will be next year's Maxwell. This St Francis loss was tough to swallow but patience is key.

So What! :dontgetit

Dawson and Maxwell are clearly the best players on this team. Cabbil is young and has a lot of growing to do but is an asset. Homesley has size but is not really that good to me regardless of his D-1 offers, His defense is horrible and he will not change the outcome of a game. This team literally is Dawson and Maxwell vs the World. There are not 5 D-1 players on the court at a time. 90% of the rotation would not even crack the lineup at 80% of the other schools in America. we are certainly lacking in the Talent department.

Now if we had Theo, Tomaz, Dawson, Maxwell and Cabill we would probably win the Big South. But we don't so we are 3-10

How in God's green earth did you come up with a statistic like that? :dontgetit And how does 90% divide evenly among 5 players?

Just because we are starting 2-3 freshmen every game does NOT mean they are not D1 talent; most freshmen ride the bench or see very little playing time their first year, because they have many upper classmen ahead of them. LU doesn't--it's been clearly documented that we don't have a single upper classman who saw significant action last year: the closest we have is Kemrite, who was a redshirt freshman last year, starting in fewer than half the games, averaging 15 minutes a game and just under 5 points a game; in comparison, Maxwell averaged 6 minutes and 2 points per game last year (with zero GS).

The guys playing besides Dawson, Cabbil and Maxwell are not that good at all..... Fields is quick and can get into the paint but doesn't finish well and cant shoot....

That wraps up this team in a nutshell.....
