What a difference a day can make. I would say the contrasting results were about 25% Summitt being an even less talented team than Covenant and 75% our getting our act together and playing up to our capabilities. We have some shooters. It remains to be seen if we can get them enough good looks against D1 competition, but McKay has a track record of getting that done. I think the defense will be a work in progress and get better a little at a time as the season progresses.

I´m curious to see if Maxwell can take this fast start against overmatched opponents and continue to be productive against players closer to his size. Last year in limited minutes he was arguably our most productive big guy while he was in there but was hampered by stamina issues and foul trouble. He is obviously a better and fitter player now.

We knew Kemrite could flat out shoot the 3, but it looks like there may be more to his game. 4 assists against Summitt. Bold prediction alert. If his back stays healthy Ezra Talbert will have a better year and a better college career than Tomasz Gielo. If Lovell Cabell has a couple of more good games, how long before the Seth Curry comparisons start?

That's a huge win for them. Georgetown got a good amount of votes in both pre-season top 25 polls.

Please don't bring that up just yet, I don't want him transferring.

I know Seth Curry and sir, he is no Seth Curry :D I think he's holding down the spot that will be John Dawson's when he becomes eligible.

Yes Dawson will certainly be the starter when he returns... Its good Lovell is getting some run to build his confidence but hopefully the team wins more than they lose before Dawson makes his return...

Don´t rule out Dawson and Cabbil in the backcourt together. It´s true McKay made a point of bringing in Atencia and Fields, but he has shown in the past he will play his best 5 regardless of their position and both John and Lovell are capable of running the offense. I have been thinking we might see Dawson a lot at the 3, but the way Kemrite is playing we probably want him out there most of the time. We´ll know more after a couple of games against D1 competition. W&M is going to be a challenge to say the least.
